Some people are medically or mentally exempt from wearing them. It would be difficult to challenge people who may not want to, or be able to discuss why they are exempt. And who should police it? Definitely not shop workers. | |

I agree largely with this but the evidence shows that wearing masks doesnt reduce the numbers catching coronavirus. Since England brought the wearing of masks in shops in the number of cases has increased. Similarly in Wales since they were brought in. The only things shown to be successful at reducing it have been stopping it coming in and strict social distancing yet some wont recognise that. No difftly the erence between a shop staff member asking for ID to buy alcohol.Its exatly the same principle.
When full lockdown was on,shoppers were stopped before entering by security staff as regards numbers in store etc.
It should not be beyond the wit of man to address this issue.It is really a matter of life or death.
(Exemptions) can actually be obtained on line.
