He would have to get a job as a coach in our academy first, then he could be an internal appointment in future.

Sadly no vacancy for Parky (at the moment) but I would have him back tomorrow.

Yep me too, but as Mick says, there's a due process. He'd probably get the job though given the underwhelming and inexperienced fare on offer at Tiptree where only the jam seems to be up to the mark.

Clearly Phil Parkinson would be the best managerial/head coaching appointment since, err...Phil Parkinson left.

It won’t happen as there is no way he would secure a position at the Academy, the prerequisite to becoming head coach. Whilst more than qualified I’m afraid his track record of having an opinion and trying to win games would rule him out.

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

Don't worry LB. If Parky were to be appointed, Mr. Humes would soon put him right.

It would be an interesting situation if Sunderland appointed John McGreal.

Noah - McGreal has as much chance of being appointed Black Cats boss as being struck by lightning.

Big problems at the Stadium of Light, even more so than Colchester.

Parky is the clubs most successful manager but I would NOT like him to return as I want to remember him for the good he did to the club.

It would be highly unlikely Parky would achieve such success now and then be sacked and fans especially the newer ones thinking he was rubbish etc.

It is very rare for a manager or player to return to a club they had most success with and then repeat it.

I want Parky to retain his legendary status with us not be a modern failure
