Disclaimer- I don't normally read The Sun but this was posted on a satirical Facebook page. Sounds like the work of Fatboy down the road. Definitely his modus operandi.

Anyone else have difficulty reading the forum when someone pastes a web address? LOVE the content on here, so thanks to the admins for all the work they put in, and the regular posters for their input. It's easily my most visited website, but the experience is about ten years out of date.

Has decided against his move the The Lakes and will be resuming his music career in Rochdale. Wonder if he's staying at COA?

Just noticed this on the BBC site, never realised The Dale such a pivotal part in football history.

Now "investigating" supporters wearing poppies. I don't wear one myself but this is bonkers. How can you prevent a supporter displaying political logos and the like on their clothing? Are they just trying to stop people going to international games altogether?

Interesting read about sports teams in America refusing to stand for the Star Spangled Banner. Completely understand why they're doing it, especially in deprived areas where folk worry about being shot by police every time they leave the house...

"Invoicing" Sky for costs incurred as a result of the Southend game being rearranged. Working with a few Leeds Utd supporters I know this is a constant annoyance (and inconvenience) for them, think they've had four games rearranged this season for the benefit of TV schedules. Where will it all end?

Nice to see they've included the red rose as a nod to the club's "historic connection with Lancashire". Is it possible that even for Mancs this whole Greater Manchester concept hasn't taken off?

All seats £15 and £12 for standing. Great move by the club with so many home games close together, and kudos to Swindon for getting onboard.

Evening all. Planning on going for a walk tomorrow if it's dry, topping up the old Vitamim D. Feel like trying somewhere new. Can anyone advise where's the best place to park and where to go from there? Looking for a casual walk lasting around an hour. And not Hollingworth Lake! Many thanks in advance.

To the management and board for keeping their word and hanging onto Henderson. See pessimists, we don't ALWAYS automatically jump at the first offer put on the table!

Roll on 2015/16 season, up the dale.

New shirts
at 19:39 1 Aug 2015

Went to make a purchase today, but wasn't very keen on the material. Ended up buying a rain jacket instead, as I actually need a new waterproof coat, and the black one they have is pretty smart. I can personally attest that they are indeed waterproof after today's deluge!

The shirts seemed very, how can I put this, elasticy? Almost rubbery. I don't know quite how to describe it but it felt like a football shirt from fifteen years ago, and I could foresee it ending up covered in clicks. Has anyone actually started wearing theirs yet? Any feedback on the quality / durability?

Any preferences? From a selfish point of view I'd like a home game against a southern team. Always bring some mates for a bit of a session on the first game of the season, so it's nice if there's a bit of elbow room in The Cemetery.
