Saints have effectively two bits of the cherry to win promotion in the next two

days, lets do it on the first one so we dont have to celebrate in front of our tellys.

If Saints win up at Middlesbrough on Saturday then they are automatically promoted, but even defeat would mean that they might actually go up without having to play another game if West Ham then fail to win on Monday evening in their trip to Leicester.

Although of course if the worst did happen this weekend and Saints lost whilst the Hammers won, we would still start favourites on the final weekend of the season being at home to Coventry, we dont want to put ourselves through that nail biting agony, far better to put it to bed this Saturday at the Riverside, where our supporters can celebrate properly, something that they wont be able to do in front of their TV screens on Monday evening if West Ham where to slip up.

It would also mean that we could then go to St Mary's for the Coventry game in party mood and knowing nothing could burst our balloons.

Its been a long season, one which has seen some highs and lows, now is the time for one big final effort, in the words of that Immortal group The Smiths.
