"Wendies" cash in on mighty Whites who go day-glo
Monday, 15th Oct 2012 20:53

Leeds have been offered 291 further seats for Friday's clash at Hillsborough and the official Leeds website report an enforced kit change!

Leeds have been offered an extra 291 seats for Friday nights visit to Sheffield Weds having already sold an astonishing 5000 for a game on a Friday night which is live on TV.

It is an astonishing vote of faith in Neil Warnock's stewardship as the whites look to make it six unbeaten against the Owls who have slumped into the bottom three despite an excellent start to the campaign.

Warnock returns to his native Sheffield, albeit the opposite side of his personal allegiance and he will be certain not to miss much of his teams efforts as the official Leeds website report that none of Leeds three kits are compatible with Wednesday's colours so as a result Leeds will wear hastily designed Neon yellow socks with our black change kit.

This move leaves me exasperated! Looking at "The Wendies" home kit for this season on the excellent www.historicalkits.co.uk website I cannot see why we can't play in our traditional white home kit as we have done at Hillsborough on several previous visits.

What's the betting the club shop will be doing a natty little line in day-glo Christmas stockings over the next few weeks?
