Leeds blunt Blades Cup Hopes?
Leeds blunt Blades Cup Hopes?
Thursday, 7th Nov 2013 18:58

They have not won the FA Cup since 1925 and it seems unlikely that Sheffield United's name will be on the famous old trophy at the end of this season. Leeds today confirmed that Aidy White will not play in United's First Round clash at Colchester.

White is a man in demand in the steel city with Blades boss Nigel Clough already wanting to extend his loan spell, even though White has just played one game in their 2-0 defeat at Shrewsbury last weekend. Clough wanted the Leeds winger cum left back to play at Colchester in the FA Cup and appears to have asked Brian McDermott at least twice.

McDermott has stubbornly refused, even though he cannot recall White from the Blades until the New Year, he doesn't want him cup-tied for when we enter the competition in round three in January.
