Inter Milan are trying to pass the buck back to Saints after problem boy Osvaldo goes awol from training.

Inter Milan have had enough of Dania Osvaldo and have gone from trying to offload him to another club to trying to kick him out citing a breach of contract.

As it stood Osvaldo's problem with Inter was nothing to do with Saints in the fact that he was contracted to them for the season, now however it seems he has breached that contract by failing to turn up to training and not informing the club of any reason .

Inter have immediately suspended I'm and this is being seen as the first step to invoking a clues in the contract allowing them to cancel it should he be in breach of club discipline.

Inter have clearly had enough and who an blame them.

Reports in Italy are saying that prior to his disappearing act Inter arranged potential loan deals to Genoa. & Cagliari in Italy as well as Queens Park Rangers in England, Osvaldo rejected the offers and did his moonlight flit.

Since his arrival at Saints Osvaldo has become an expensive folly, although he had played under Pochettino before at Espanola the now Spurs boss seemed loathe to play him at times and it was hard to see where he would fit in the system alongside Rickie Lambert and that became more complicated s Jay Rodriguez leapfrogged both of them as the main goal scoring option, it seems that Osvaldo was signed as a statement rather than fitting into the team's style of play a little like Gaston Ramirez a year earlier.

Now it is hard to see where he will go next, certainly Saints won't ant him back and will be lumbered with his alleged £75k a week wages plus substantial bonus's for another two years, the only hope being to try an loan him out with a small contribution being received from hi wages.

Osvaldo is looking more and more like a folly who by the time his contract has run out will have cost the club somewhere in the region of £35 million taking into account the transfer fee, wages, bonus's as well as national insurance and pension payments

Is not this mans profession that of a footballer.Clearly, to satisfy his contract to both Saints and Inter Milan I would have thought that he has to train to maintain fitness and be able to play.If he decides without an acceptable reason that he does not want to train then is he not very possibly in breach of his employment contract?If that were to be the case then is not the answer simply to terminate his contract and let him take his chance in court should he wish to dispute the decision?

SonicBoom added 22:31 - Jan 21 Indeed st mark. If inter consider him in breach with them then surely it's the same with us. There must be clauses dealing with professional behaviour. In any job you can be sacked for attacking a co worker. In fact the club or Fonte could have involved the police. We loan him out and he blows a fuse again so they want rid too. Are you really saying nick, that despite this, we have to pay him a fortune for two years, plus bonus! Sounds like someone at the club dropped a huge brick negotiating that particular deal.......

A1079 added 22:36 - Jan 21 I am with Saint Mark. Surely if an employee no matter what profession, who fails to attend work, or won't perform or carries out an act which is a disciplinary offence, surely can be sacked.

The guy is one of the biggest scumbags in football, but Saints signed a player that was an obvious nutter, then we act like he's Hannibal Lecter when he nuts somebody. Then he goes to Inter, who know he's tuppence short of a shilling, then kick him out after he shouts at somebody. I mean it's completely obvious that he had absolutely no intention of playing for Saints, but I don't know why people are signing are nutter & than acting surprise when he acts up. He's the sort of bloke that you've either got to indulge or steer clear of. It's a shame we don't have Vincent Tan as chairman as he'd probably try and sue MoPo to take the fook with him. 13.8m he cost the club, by vouching for a player that everybody knew was a nut bar, who then promptly proved it. I won't argue with Cortese taking some of the stick either, but the manager had worked with the player before. In any other industry you'd be sued for gross incompetence. Some desperate club has got to be willing to pay a few million for him surely.

Ok so we won't recoup the transfer fee but presumably there is still a massive saving on wages that could be put to better use such as giving Clyne a better deal. Maybe Poch will have him at Spurs......

Talks have bogged down because 'Arry's financial manager, Rosie, was busy burying a bone in the back garden.

Jesus_02 added 14:34 - Jan 22 Saints must have been trying to re-coup transfer fees otherwise they would have terminated his contract when the Fonte incident happened. There is no legal reason why they couldn't do it at the time. Unfortunately hindsight is 20-20. The head-butting is now in the past and couldn’t be realistically given as a reason for contract termination.
