Now Cellino Junior gets a ban
Wednesday, 20th Apr 2016 13:44 by Tim Whelan

Eduardo has become the latest member of the Cellino family to pick up a ban from the English football authorities.

Cellino junior allegedly reacted to a bit of criticism by telling a supporter to 'go f*** yourself' and using the terms 'spastic' and 'moron'. He later apologised for these comments, but still chose to contest the FA’s charge!

But this didn’t do him much good, as he was found guilty of the charge at an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Monday. The FA’s charge included an "aggravated breach" as his comments included a reference to disability.

He has been suspended from all football-related activity for the club's next three matches (which will have included last night’s game, as the ban started with immediate effect) and was fined £5,000. He was also warned about to his future conduct, and must complete an education course within four months.

Does anyone know what Edoardo does as a Leeds United director? Do his duties involve any ‘football-related activity’ anyway?

This news follows on from the FA’s decision to charge his dad for saying to Gary Cooper that women belong "in the bedroom or beauticians" rather than working in football. Cooper has two witnesses to prove that Massimo did indeed make those comments, which will also fall foul of the FA’s regulations on discriminatory abuse.

Clearly the two Cellini have much to learn about the way that people in senior positions at football clubs are expected to behave in this country.
