Following a raft of speculation, Leeds United have completed their third signing of the summer...

Leeds United have today confirmed the signing of Scottish left-back Barry Douglas, who moves to Elland Road on a three-year contract from recently promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

Douglas, 28, made 42 appearances in all competitions for Wolves last season, scoring five goals - including a sumptuous free kick in an emphatic 4-1 defeat United at Molineux last November - and assisting a further 14 as Nuno Espirito Santo's side coasted to the Championship title. This scintillating run of form for Wanderers also saw him earn a first international cap for Scotland in March this year.

As well as having played on the international stage, the left-back has also competed in the UEFA Europa League for Turkish club Konyaspor, and has additionally turned out for Queen's Park, Dundee United and Lech Poznan earlier in his career.

In spite of his highly productive endeavours in a Wolves shirt last season, Douglas was deemed surplus to requirements at Molineux after the arrival of Jonny Castro from Atletico Madrid.

And now the Glaswegian has become the first permanent signing of the Marcelo Bielsa era at Elland Road following the captures of midfielder Lewis Baker and goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, who both joined Leeds from Premier League side Chelsea on season-long loans.
