Swansea City : Okay let’s pause for breath, we all get angry sometimes
Wednesday, 17th Aug 2022 15:40 by @Cornish67David

The owner of this website was angry, Russell Martin was angry, even people who disagree with him were angry. Then people who have supported this website through thick and thicker got angry about things that were said on here, and of course on social media. It’s safe to say we all got angry. And there’s still anger there.

Russell Martin has elevated this side to a position where we all have some degree of hope. His football methodology is perfect, it’s just that at times, and that’s quite a few times it doesn’t go right. The work we all put in to supporting, writing about, complaining, enthusing and generally being Swansea City is beyond doubt.

We had what would be called an editorial meeting via zoom this morning and all agreed, I mean there’s only three of us, that Saturdays game could be a real catalyst for this season. In fact the way Swansea collapsed against Millwall could well be the best thing that has happened to Russell Martin this season. Even since he has been at the club. It was great to see the anger, and the passion, we want to see that. And we hope the players got angry as well.

Russell Martin basically said what we all thought after that game. He said as much as we endorsed on this website, he was angry, hurt and that cathartic release as much as anyones post match was required. From this state surely now we will see angry Swansea players and an angry manager develop that furious response and turn it around on Saturday ? Mould that disappointment and hurt in to a positive.

Surely now all the emotions have been felt, from total excitement to downright distress in football terms anyway. The passion shown all round before and after that Millwall result is evidence if any is needed how we all feel about Swansea City FC. There’s no better way to start a response than to turn over Luton Town and to do so in style.

Let’s do this.

Agreed!
We were all angry but probably not as angry as RM. It's OK to show such emotion but to benefit one must channel their anger. I'm sure the manager and the team will have learned much from those disastrous last 5 minutes and have the perfect opportunity to show so on Saturday against Luton.
Overall a much improved performance and I agree with the article that we should all take a breath and try and keep things in perspective.
Onwards and upwards COYS.
