Those Yorkshire Pirlo rumours just won't go away!

Apparently Kalvin Phillips will be back at Leeds next season like if or not! Promotion or not!

Journalist Graham Bailey has told the Leeds Press that the 29 year old returning to Leeds is a deal that will be done in the summer, even if Leeds don't go up this season.

However as sentimental as it would be to see "one of our own" back in a white shirt, a huge proportion of the fan base would need to be won over.

It will be three years since Phillips sought pastures new, it could be argued that his insistence to join Man City only prevented Leeds getting a bigger fee for him than the reported £40m his sale generated.

What is certain though is the move has been an utter disaster for him, going from one of the first names on the England team sheet to being unable to make the City matchday squad.

Similarly, loan spells at West Ham and Ipswich have hardly raised his stock.

Whilst he'll always hold a special place in our hearts, many myself included feel we've moved on from him now and a return however cute that might be, is out of the question especially if a fee of £30m is true.

Thanks for the memories Kalv but its hard to see where you'd fit in and improve our squad.

Another player who left us, albeit two years ago and has been indifferent since, Jack Harrison
apparently is in no rush to return to Elland Road.

The 28 year old wide man apparently has reflected Everton's recent resurgence under David Moyes, although the stats of one goal and nil assists speak for themselves.

Cutting through the blurb in a recent Liverpool Echo article, Harrison has spoken of his frustration at how this season has gone and desire to knuckle down and fight for his place.

There will certainly be many Leeds fans who will not forgive him for something his mum said after a game last season. She was captured after her son played a rare decent game for the Toffees hugging her boy and when a fan asked was he returning to Leeds she replied "F*** no!".

Irrespective of Mrs Harrisons views, I thought he was overrated. He probably had one decent game in six for us and I lament the day when we sent Daniel James off to Fulham on loan and recalled him from Leicester's training ground where he was in process of making a deadline day switch to the Foxes.
