Did you hear the one about the Englishman, irishman and Belgian?

We do the click-bait so you don't have to!

It's all ifs buts and maybes!

For starters we don't know what division we will be in next season, which obviously has an impact on what budget Daniel Farke might have in the summer transfer window.

But the speculators are in overdrive as ever during an international break! Yesterday it was Matt Targett of Newcastle United being lined-up to replace soon-to-be free agent Junior Firpo, so here's a round-up of the best of the rest.

No doubt inspired by the takeover of Rangers FC, its inevitable that players will be linked with moves down the path trodden by Mel Sterland, David Robertson, Kemarr Roofe etc but Nicholas Ruskin, a Belgian International is one name in the mix. Aged 24 and valued at £20m he's seen as a younger and cheaper option to bringing Kalvin Phillips "home" according to some.

If rumours are to be true we are about to pick over the carcass that us Southampton Fc's EPL season. On leaving Wembley in May, I couldn't believe how subdued their fans were and obviously they had a premonition as to the misery that was about to unfold. They're bottom with only NINE points if you want to rub it in.

But according to the speculators, we could muscle in on their misery and take any one of Cameron Archer, Aaron Ramsdale and/or Tyler Dibling-although he's rated at £100m and wanted by Man U, City and Tottenham, so I think we can rule that one out.

As ever, Ilian Meslier's future looks uncertain and not for the first time Caoimhin Kelleher, the Liverpool and Eure goalie who played for the Republic against Ilia Gruev's Bulgaria recently, is being linked. Personally I think a keeper is a must and although I'm not a member of the drop Meslier campaign, I think a summer move would be best all round for club and player.
