Leeds fans fury at 14pc season ticket hike
Thursday, 27th Mar 2025 14:38

The price rise hasn't gone down too well in some quarters.

Leeds United have announced a 14pc season ticket price hike for the 25/26 season.

Despite not knowing for sure what division we will be in next season, Whites fans have until May Day to stump up the cash if they want to guarantee their seat for the next campaign.

Understandably many are disgruntled. One post I read accused the club owners of pricing out the working classes, another said the stadium redevelopment has to be paid from somewhere. Another took a swipe at the 26,000 reportedly on the waiting list, claiming in our League One days the club would contact them to offer away tickets!

Herein lies the problem, assuming you've hit the 80% usage rate and cannot afford to renew, there will be others willing to take your place.

Another poster, who clearly was i the "take my money" camp complained he was unable to renew immediately!

The club reckon it will still average out at around £21.50 per game over 23 matches, with all of us no doubt hoping it will be more like the £26 quoted which will mean promotion.

There also are installment options available and the controversial 80 pc usage rule will stay in place, which obviously you can forward your ticket to a family or friend as long as they're a member or pass it back to the club to resell.
