Gwion Edwards 11:47 - Jan 24 with 1348 views | Edmundo | Got to be worth a go on Saturday, was quite impressed with his short stint against Kairdiff. Why not, in a game of little importance?

Totally agree. All this talk about the FA Cup means nothing. If thats the case we may aswell have played all the kids against United.

Do you not think its worth giving Gwion his chance now, in a game where isn't three points at stake? This post is all about giving our youngsters opportunities to play in meaningful games. Well more meaningful than the SPL! Hopefully if he starts and has a good one, ML may see him as an option if not right now, next season

Gwion Edwards on 12:27 - Jan 24 with 1213 views | ymaohyd | Personally If I had a choice of winning the FA Cup or staying up, I'd choose winning the FA Cup. Just to justify that opinion. If we were in financial dire straits, then I'd rather we stay up. We aren't though so no problems there. If for example we were still in the Chamionship and hadn't got to the Premier league and the question were FA Cup or promotion, I'd opt for promotion. We've invested our money well and are on the verge of completing our 2nd training complex without any debt. You're in football to win things. A glorious day at Wembley in May, watching the Swans win one of the most famous trophies in football for me outweighs staying up and having a mediocre season next year. As I say, if we hadn't invested well and needed money to achieve various things then I wouldn't hold this opinion. From now on though, the longer we stay in the Prem, it's more about paying huge amounts to overindulged players and of course ground expansion. I'd rather as a supporter see Ash going up to lift the FA Cup and history would probably support that theory rather than being famous for another few years in the prem.

Gwion Edwards on 12:33 - Jan 24 with 1186 views | JBT95 | Why not win the Cup and stay up? Would be nice to see one or two of Richards/Lucas/Edwards playing tomorrow, even Cornell! Be good if they started but if not even off the bench would be great.

Is it? If so glad to entertain you. To me the reasons I've put seem logical. People go on and on about the Prem but as the annoying Adrian Durham would say - is it all that? If you're a top club it certainly is. But for a club like us who cut our cloth accordingly, without a mega wealthy backer, what are we going to achieve? We've invested our money well in the training facilities and the loyal supporters who have followed us for years have had some wonderful memories the last few years. I hope we stay up for years, if we do, I have a feeling that most years the question of the importance of the cups will crop up, with 99% of fans feeling stuff the cups I'd rather make sure we stay up. For me though if the situation crops up where we are struggling in the league and have a chance of winning the FA Cup, I would rather win the cup if there were a choice between the two.
