1. West Ham home and away 1999. Julian Dicks getting pelted with coins from a very intimating NB.
2. Beating the scum 2-1 Gilligan and Harris
3. Liverpool in 1990 - John Motson was commentating for Motd in a purpose built gantry in the unsafe section of the NB. 16,098. I was so excited about the game I kept my tickets in an old ammunition container for safe keeping. Lee Bracey had a cracking game.
4. Sheffield United away we won 3-0. They were Premier League and we were in League one? 5,000 jacks singing their hearts out. Wise men sing only fools rush in!
5. Beating Preston 2-1 with Lee Trundle scoring and then taking on the might of Tranmere away and losing
With around 2,500 of us up on Merseyside.
6. Beating QPR 4-0 live on Sky Sports at 4pm on a Sunday.
7. Playing Bristol City and losing 1-0 on a midweek night and our bus broke down just outside Cardiff on the way home. We had a police van to keep us in order. Some of the boys walked to the petrol station on J32.
8. Drawing to H and W and having the worst ref ever Stuart Attwell!
9. Playing Rotherham at home and drawing 0-0 after we had about 45 corners. The lines man also gave an offside against us from a throw in!

I can't brag about following Swansea for years and years like others on here can but nonetheless, my first (and I think only) FA Cup game was against Fulham in 2009. We lost 2-1 but the stand went bezerk when we scored, I was hooked. |  |

That's the one I remember. I was only 6 ( it was in 76 I think)but I still understood the horror of getting beat by them. Did they wear Sky Blue? I seem to recall them playing in blue, and that everyone was "blue" leaving the stadium. Bognor Regis was another horror show. That's when the ground beneath our feet just fell away after successive relegations.
As for positive cup memories, beating WBA 3-2 down the vetch sticks in my mind, beating Stoke in 1998 another strange choice. Kieran Durkins goal against Rushden and Diamonds is the best FA cup goal I ever saw. The football equivalent of Chris De Burg writing a song as good as 'LA Woman'. |  |

Most memorable? Unfortunately not in a good way but Margate in the early 70s still inflames an old wound. Even the scabby parrotface llanelli rugby welsh teacher at school was taking the pi$$ out of the Jacks. Got taken by my bruv expecting some relief from the league games. Awful place, awful game, awful result. In on the pitch terms, just about as low as I've felt.
This sort of hard wired memory is why I still have to rub my eyes sometimes these days. |  |
