Don't know if it has ever been tried before, what about players using something like the rugby line out to lift a player up at a corner? Could use a blocker like West Ham did to give Carroll space. Downsides would use 3 players to do it, would require practice, need players who can header properly and on target, possible injury when landing. I've seen a pic of Bony leapfrogging a mid sized player standing up! Could work, or might turn into leapfrog piggy back ballet moves.
The other alternative is to have a man at the back of the box on corners ready for when it clears the goal area!
Having witnessed numerous overhit corners over the years, I think the first is more likely.
Another i think of regularly is why not have conversions like in rugby.1 goal and then half a goal from a conversion taken from where the assist for the goal took place with the goalie facing backwards or blindfolded. They do it in the Yemenese Super League so worth a try i reckon.
Couldnt nike or adidas invent boots with trampoline ability added to a sort of wheelies style boot. Might be one for the future.
