He's had some nightmare moments this season, but I personally would like to see him stay, he has popped up with a few goals, some of his tackles have been sublime, and I want players with passion in the team. I think he'll have learned from this season and will come back stronger.
I think I may be in a minority, but if you cut out the rolling around and the occasional red mist, there is one hell of a footballer there as well as being a tidy bloke off the field.

Amat is a fine player who has the tools to be just as good as Chico. By the time he gets to Chico's age he'll likely be a much better player. Most Swansea fans are fed up of Chico's antics and his mistakes on the field and want a steadier player alongside Ash. It's nothing personal, just want to see the highest standard of defending on the field. |
Me too mate. We just have differing opinions on who Ash's best partner would be, I definitely favour Chico in that respect. The analogy was extreme for a reason, Dyer has been exemplary since that rush of blood to the head and I have massive admiration for him for doing so.
My point is that I along with everyone else was gut wrenchingly embarrassed by his antics but he stopped that months ago. Why you and others want to keep digging that sh*t up and brining ing his disciplinary record up when one of his dismissals saved us a certain goal (although they converted a penalty for which the foul was a yard outside the box) and then for two yellows in the Chelsea game that no Chelsea player would have got in a million years.
So when it comes down to making sense I don't think your prejudice against Chico's former antics or his disciplinary record make a lot of sense either. He's a damn good defender who's made team of the week quite a few times so the experts must see something in his ability too. |  |

Chico has cost us at times. He is also excellent going forward and has much heart for our club and supporters. I also do not believe Laudrup would not have spoken to him about his antics, as he went out of his way to say how sorry particularly Chico was after the police incident. |  | | |

I'm undecided about Chico to be honest, but why can't people see that Amat has the potential to be a better player than him, what is it they feel he lacks?
Oh and on the ball at feet thing, although Chico's natural comfort on the ball is not something you can teach, it can certainly be coached to a fair old degree, many of the players of the Martinez era and the squad here when he came certainly didn't have it as part of their game beforehand.
