Swansea Council Needle Collection 11:20 - Oct 15 with 9868 viewsswanduck

I live in a student house with 3 other girls, yesterday one girls boyfriend left to pop to the shops to find two JUNKIES on our doorstep injecting heroin. Apart from freaking us all out they left a bunch of needles all over our stairs and the police told us to ring the council who would collect them.

Council came this morning and refused to collect them as they were on our stairs rather than a pubic pavement/road.

Can I get peoples opinions on this please I think it's disgusting!!

Ring the Evening Post. They live for stories like this. Or at least tell the council you're going to ring the Post.

I'd be more worried about the pubic pavement...

Yes the needles are still there. I am trying to shame them into picking them up via Twitter ATM.

Stick a pair of puncture proof gloves on, stick them in a tupperware box and hand them in at the council/police station.

If someone comes to your house and hurts themselves on those needles, you may find yourself in a complicated legal battle otherwise, not worth the hassle.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Puncture resistant gloves (there is no such thing as puncture proof) are about 30 quid a pair. Hardly at the top of a student shopping list. I know as I bought some for work last week.

The only alternative to the spectacle is the spectacle of the alternative.

Exactly I am not touching then! Everyone we have spoken to including the council have told us not to touch them.

They have apologised now and said they will come and collect them.

Ring your landlord to clean it up. Next time take photos of them injecting.
If they return I suggest you all start using a bucket instead of the toilet and next time swill the dirty gits

Tell you one thing mate they wouldn't have been on my property one minute after the council said they couldn't remove them.
I wasn't suggesting he picks them up by the needle and starts having a game of darts with them.

Where did I use the word bag?
Don't answer because I didn't.

All household rubbish in swansea ends up in bin bags correct , the bin you talk of would end up in the bin bag ,as for puncture proof gloves I don't think there are any for sharps that are obviously made to puncture ,there are health and saftey issues involved with sharps which involve the collection an removal of these items which could potentially for a short period have harmful diseases on them if the scrots were infectious ,the guy did right phoning the council as they will remove them but it sounds like the guys sent were being pedantic
