He drools over Chadli. But more as a winger than a centre-forward,
Still, if he can do both roles...
There's nothing to dislike about Chadli so I'm not surprised, great in the air, pacy and strong, can supply decent crosses and can score would be a great signing, but he'll cost at least 10 or 12 mill and I just can't see us forking that amount out.

I just don't think, we would, I think around 8 mill is our ceiling at most at this time, just my opinion of course, never say never though.
You could well be right but things have moved on and this mad new world the fees keep going up. I remember HJ saying after the signing of Bony (for 13m if I remember correctly ) that that was a one-off and not a typical Swans signing. But we sold him for 28m and Ayew is now being talked about at 20m + . I'm all for a good deal but there does come a time when you have to speculate to accumulate. Llorente doesn't fit into that category but I hope we're thinking of pushing the boat out a bit and we'll sign somebody who does.

Chadli would be powerful replacement for Ayew. We'll have money in for Ayew. Bony remaining money Citeh yet to pay us, Shelvey funds received on sale to Newcastle. And yes, clubs are getting some serious firepower in premiership. Need more than Llorente,Mcburnie, oliveira

Would the new owners have received whatever was left from the Shelvey funds received from Newcastle when they bought the club? Or did the old owners likely pocket that money?

I was wondering about that recently.
The money in the club belongs to the club and is now under the control of the new owners.
There is no mechanism for anyone to pocket money other than via a dividend.

Good to know, thanks. It seems like over the last couple of seasons we should be well in the black on transfer fees due to JJS and Bony, so I'm glad that money is still available despite the sale.

To me it was absolutely obvious we would only get Chadli if Ayew was sold but because of the put downs on planet swans I didn't say that. Not because of other people's opinions just couldn't be bothered.
They might get it over the line by the end of January.
If you can fill the unforgiving minute.

Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
Chadli plays predominently on the left. We look short on the right tbh, especially if Ayew goes. Routledge is more effective on the left and Dyer hasnt really done it for a while. Hopefully Barrow can step it for a whole season now
"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

And Levy will end up getting exactly what he wants anyway.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
Goals across the team are so important and as good as they are, Dyer and Routs are unlikely to get you more than 3-4 across the season. Chadli I could see getting much more and that would make a difference. With Chadli, Llorente and Siggy in the team, you'd have three players well capable of getting 10+.

His highlights indicate he can put a shift in at either side.
