that's what happens when you play in a team that keeps the ball and creates chances...

he'd have no chance in the first team of repeating that, as he'd never get the flipping ball!

Well done the U21 lads, terrific win. At least there's some guys wearing the Swans shirt and making us proud.

I backed them at 4/1 tonight.Couldn't believe the odds considering we beat them recently as well. They had an early sending off and by the looks we had to dig deep to finally break them down.McBurnie will be great for us in the Championship.

Norwich had a few first teamers playing explaining the pre match price

from Norwich site

MATT Jarvis returned to action on Tuesday as ten-man City were knocked out of the Checkatrade Trophy by Swansea.

The Canaries started the game as the stronger of the two sides and almost opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Sergi Canos' corner was met by Steven Whittaker but The Swans were able to clear the danger off the line.

City had a huge chance in the 16th minute when Whittaker's ball was met by Josh Murphy who was beyond the visitors' defence but his shot was easily met by Gerhard Tremmel.

Ben Godfrey received a red card after 25 minutes due to a challenge from behind on The Swans' frontman Oli McBurnie.

The South Wales side had the advantage of an extra man but the quality in City's ranks was coping well going into half-time.

Youssouf Mulumbu worked his way into the box before giving the ball to Carlton Morris who flicked it into the back of the net but the goal was disallowed due to a foul.

The visitors went ahead after 74 minutes when McBurnie headed in Daniel James' driven cross from the left flank.

Morris had a chance to equalise in the 77th minute when he rose above The Swans' defense but headed over the bar.

The full-time whistle blew and despite Norwich's class and experience, Swansea came out on top, knocking the Canaries out of the competition.

FULL-TIME: Norwich City 0-1 Swansea

GOALS: The Swans: Oliver McBurnie (74)

NORWICH CITY: Killip; Whittaker, Godfrey, Klose, Ramsay; Mulumbu, Grant; Canos, Jo. Murphy (Jaiyesimi, 76), Jarvis (Crowe, 45); Morris. Subs not used: Hallett (GK), Efete, McIntosh, McGrandles, Middleton

Bit biased that report

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Norwich's u23s are genuinely a very good side.

Clearly though we're better.

Tremmel playing for U23 raises a smile. He must be twice the age of some of them. He's been a great stalwart for us, I like the guy, but why haven't we got an age group keeper gaining experience. Are they injured?

If you can fill the unforgiving minute. With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Checkatrade is serious business, mate. We're in it to win a trophy, not give the kids experience.

(None of the kids are any good).
