Dan James had a terrific game and his unselfish performance kept us in the game. Get Jeff on - definitely - but only for the last quarter of the game..
Decent opposition managers would rub their hands together if they saw him start a game.
He rightly deserves the plaudits, but at the moment I'm not getting too excited about his future. Absolutely loved to be proved wrong.

Not sure. He terrifies the shit out of teams just by standing there. Yes wen there's two or three onhim from the start he might be nullified himself, but we just have to be better at exploiting the space that creates rather than giving him the ball slavishly if he's up a blindalley. Probably our most potent weapon. Just need to learn how to handle him best, but I don't think that's just seeing him as an impact sub.

True Saturday night thread by the way, Awesome.

I hate to say this to anyone other than seasoned professionals but he's got much to learn, and 99% of that is composure.

He's a 10/15 minute impact player. We would have lost quite comfortably if he had been on the pitch for the first 70 minutes. Even when we were hanging onto a lead with 10 men he's wandering around watching the game.#
Wonderful performance when he came on, but nowhere good enough to play a full game.
#Watch those last few minutes again, to watch him you'd think we were holding a three goal advantage.

Oh eff off you miserable prick. Where did I once say he should play the ninety?

Calm down, calm down.

It just balances the 3 points that we deservedly lost to Bristol last week.

Montero?

Now he is the uber lesson in composure.

Arguably James may have as much talent, but if you dont stop and have a "think" how would you know....

Montero should have come on against Preston, he's literally a cut above this shit league.

He has to be managed because his bones are snapeasy.
I am sure if Potter though he could do 90 minutes he would start him.

He showed the difference in personalities.

Montero has all the composure in the world and has arguably been responsible for 6 points already this season.

Keep it up.

Dan James, as much as I wont slag our players off lacks composure. He really needs to stop in his mind every time he gets the ball, take that extra half second/second and he could be anything,

At the moment thats what he lacks.

Quite right Chris. Hate it when our own fans slag off our players. Really chuffed to see that you're another fan who wouldn't dream of slagging off our players. Good on you mate.

Well I for one would be thoroughly disappointed if I had just broken into the first team, won against all the odds and put the club in 6th position only to read the fans kept saying continually that they are annoyed the club hasn't gone into debt to buy players to replace me.

They deserve to play, they are doing very well. I for one am glad that the powers that be do not feel that we need to risk our financial picture to replace them. The criticism the likes of McBurnie has faced recently has been horrible.

Agree that the first team are performing fantastically well and they should not be replaced. Majority of fans ar concerned, I think with the lack of depth when injuries occur. Also agree about the unwarranted criticism of the players.

Main problem is the silence from the club and the of communication regarding the transfer window. It’s impossible to comment on the lack of transfers when we don’t know the situation regarding the finances. It may well be that they don’t want to comment publicly on it as it could affect the value of players if others know that we desperate for money and therefore can’t afford to hold out for bigger fees.

If it is the case that we haven’t got the available funds due to previous wages to players and maybe sell on fees. Should the club make this public or should they keep quiet and protect their position ?

I’d imagine most other clubs owners know we are owned by a US hedge fund who will sell anything at a knock door price.

The blame lies totally with those who sold to that hedge fund, yes most of us would of sold our shares to make ourselves very wealthy, but if we really loved the club we would of sold to someone other than a hedge fund.

Those who sold their shares should now fuk off to the Caribbean & enjoy their wealth & let the football club move on.
