Swansea's biggest legend? 11:21 - Jan 22 with 10078 viewsTenbySwan

Reading the info on the Stoke game reminded me that their ground is on Stanley Matthews Way, Man Utd have Sir Matt Busby Way etc. Many teams also have stands e.g. The Bobby Moore stand at the old WHU ground.

This led me to thinking who is Swansea's biggest legend and are they worthy of having the road or stand named after them?

The older generation might say Allchurch but it's Curt for me too.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Curt, no doubt.

I think if they won't do a statue or if Curt won't want one is to rename Brunel Way, Alan Curtis Way. Just my thought.

Ivor without a shadow of doubt, not only a Swansea legend, but a Newcastle one too.

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Curt for me but followed closely by Harry Griffiths and Mel Nurse for all they did for the club after retiring as players

Time always leads to the greater lionisation of any legend. Clearly Ivor will always be a great, but Curt is now perhaps the greatest. Played in every division over three spells at the club. Caretaker manager, coach, ambassador. A great player and a lovely man.

Beyond a wall/hall of fame there is a gallery of legends. Harry Griffiths, Mel Nurse and Leon would all sit there with Curt, Ivor, Robbie James and Roger Freestone

Mel Nurse.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Our Darren would think it was named after him .......

Curt
Mel Nurse
Leon

In that order for me.

If the club won’t do a statue of Curt the trust should.

Who's discussing Newcastle, I just pointed out what an absolute legend Ivor was, so much so he was idolized at two different clubs.

Mel Nurse.

Is probably a good shout. Too young to have seen any of the others, bar Leon, play but remember the Petty days well enough.

Can’t wait for Dwights input on this one.
