Ten minute hat trick if I remember, second touch was his first on 80 mins ? I believe Whittaker scored his in eleven ?
I was at WBA that day when Thornber came on for Alan Davies.
We are talking seconds between Thornber and Whittaker..

Curtis was 5 minute hat trick against Crewe November 1977 ( last five minutes to make it 5-0 )
Joe Allon ( striker ) did hold the record for a while I think ( can't remember which game )? Also scored quite a few consecutive games (9?) and held or threatened it ?
Can't remember how fast Whittaker's was, so if I was asked I would say Allon without using Google to check |  |

Yeah I found this in an online Library. For some reason all records seem to have been erased apart from here. 
Only the centre stand open that night, £4 entry, goals down the East Stand end. Remember it like it was yesterday.
It’s strange how one remembers rubbish games vividly from the best part of 25 years ago but can’t remember a lot of epic games I went to in the last decade. Odd.
