I don't doubt that once LW's preference was obvious finances were a major factor in us sending them both elsewhere, but it's hard to imagine that when you factor in what we laid out replacing them we ended up all that far ahead. | |

There was very little between Yates and Cullen last season. The reality is both of them are unsuited to the way Williams wants to play.
Sending him out on loan wasn’t the wrong decision. Replacing him with Vipotnik, on the evidence so far at least, was.
Vipotnik at least has a chance of developing into the type of striker that would work in this system. Kukharevych - I don’t know. Looked to have the physical attributes. Hasn’t kicked on in Scotland.
Yates is proving he’s a decent player when played to his strengths. I don’t think that will happen for him or Cullen here. | | | |

One up front with two wingers. Three in midfield with fullbacks overlapping. Nobody in midfield who runs directly at defenders or plays defence splitting passes. Doesn’t suit strikers who can’t compete with centre backs physically.
