See what happens when pubs close down.
I was in the Distillers at opening time, just three people - my echo, my shadow and me.

loved the plough that burnt down a good few years ago in northolt, plenty of characters, probably moved over to the white hart.

know what your saying mate, was in the orchard tonight, askew road from 5 till 8, 5 customers in that 3 hours. i know its a monday, but compared to a few years ago that pub was buzzing with afters every night.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

The Orchard never seems open whenever I pass by. The public house is wedded to English/British life inexorably.
I shudder to think what it'll be like in the near/middle future.

My brother used to frequent the Load of Hay. The Target was on a bus destination board - Northolt Target it used to say.
Never see anything like that these days.

I concur, now residing in Harefield. It’s Northolt of old in the countryside 😊

Closing down that pub left everyone high and dry.

One of the first pubs I got into at 16.

Smells like a trout farm in here

I don't often travel by bus now but remember LT used pub names as destinations - Roehampton (Angel), Putney (Green Man) etc. Do they still do so ?

A few Buses used to terminate at the Sudbury Swan. Pubs still there, bus stops still there but bus termination is not.

It was always known as the White Hart roundabout. I still call it that.

The 152 bus I used to catch to school had a destination of Mitcham, the Cricketers.
The pub signboard was a picture of Alec and Eric Bedser.
Shows how long ago I went to school!

There was a young man named Bedser,
Who kept falling out of bed sir
He couldn't get back in,
So swallowed a bottle of gin
No Bedser, in bed sir, is dead sir.

The RAF (roundabout firm) used to drink on that roundabout during Saturday afternoon closing before the evening reopening.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?
