Trunds was exactly what our club needed at that moment in time. Watching him over the years amongst the players, he is the joker in the pack. He takes the rise out of them and they return the favour. When Laudrup goes, his staff will follow...so someone needs to make the remaining squad laugh in the mornings at training.

Good point Jill, and I Agree he was indeed a superb addition to a league 2 side at the time. Later on some of his games were so good it was untrue. Yeovil at home etc. He also represented himself at a certain level on TV which was a decent earner too.
However, to now view him ( your words not mine) as an overpaid comedian is possibly a slur on a great players short career. But again I do agree, ive read that viewpoint elsewhere though .....
I just don't think he will bring anything more to the party than KOL does. And that tells me if Trundle is involved at any level at the club it could be disastrous. He was a great player, he now should explore other areas of employment. And not be encouraged to think he is in any working capacity doing what he does now.
The club have made a mistake by employing him, as they have with KOL! and this so called legendary status could be quickly dissolved if he is in any way allowed any autonomy at SCFC.
Its just a viewpoint.

You can always save face by cutting your fu cking head off.
Words/phrases in common use get ritually abused without knowing, ie 150% effort. Legend is just another. Should a legend be alive or dead. Comparisons between former legends in any walk of life is futile and subjective. MANY Welsh hated Churchill one of the "greatest" British legends.
Ali was one ,Id say but was he as good as MARCIANO

I understand your views BJ, but there are many other points to consider other than the actual playing side of the game. Probably for example the spaniards, who Im sure take some comfort at being away from home and family, tend to stick together away from the pitch. They have the friendship that will spill over into their game Im sure that a happy squad has more chance of gelling. Trunds does have the tendency to make all around him smile. He deserves a reward for what he delivered at a time when we were wanting.
A mate of mine worked all the hours god ..... could send when his works business was in the dark. He worked 18 hrs a day, it was a called a proper job. He was rewarded with redundancy, this is the reality of the real world. Trundle should not be rewarded for being a clown, or for something he did years ago. He was rewarded enough for that at the time.
We agree to differ ;-)

What's he being rewarded for then he's getting payed for working at the football club?

Well the first anomaly is the word work, the guy was pi ssed up in a bar in Malmo at 1am this morning, thats a fact. We are a premier league club not a tin pot apparition of Trundle. Secondly i was replying to Jill who makes sense, but he shouldn't be rewarded now for what he did, however grateful we all are. That was my point in my last post, which sadly, as expected some of you dot get. But thats hardly surprising.

Do you actually support Swansea City? That's a serious question by the way because you're a right negative c*nt.

to be 100% honest i can't see why a 2nd leg of a europa qualifying match needs either the 9-14 youth coach (one of LT's jobs) or the club ambassador (his other new job).
i doubt that many 9-14 yr old sweedish kids are being coached this morning so he's either there on a jolly or as an ambassador of the club.
as club ambassador he...
strives to promote: respect for self, team, the sport and community. Club Ambassadors have a high level of integrity, good communication skills and the maturity to deal with a wide range of people and personality types. They are a direct reflection on the Club and its members.
so are we activley trying to promote 'the brand' in sweeden? is that why LT is there? or do we always take all our staff with us for away games? is K O'L there?
he should stay in south wales, making sure we get our pick of the youngsters coming through.
what good is LT doing the club if he's in malmo or burnley.....why is he there?
i love trunds, but come on, what is he doing there?
"What is Trunds doing there" With respect, people who are much more qualified than you or I, will decide who should or should not be there, have made that .....decision.

Yeah but you don't expect the person you're replying to to understand that do you,he thinks that Trundle decide he was going himself and that was the end of it.
You couldn't make it up,seriously you couldn't.

If he's there on his own coin, fair enough. If the club have paid for him to travel even though being in Sweden isn't actually part of his job description then that needs nipping in the bud.
We're a professional football club. Not a vehicle for jolly boys outings.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Surprised at you Jobbie, I thought you would have had a better vision of the situation than that! Has someone stolen your password?
