So remind me again why we couldn't hang on to him? Were the wages that prohibitive? And the impending court case doesn't seem to have deterred Toon whose supporters are over the moon at this quality boon.I would have made him stay and bollocks to all the negatives.
What a crazy f*cking world it is when you loan out players to a higher placed outfit.

I reckon Mr Remy was firmly in Arry's " the lad don't wanna be ear" camp.

Triffic player mind

Thought it was a case of Remy not wanting to play in the championship. Didn't TF say that players the club wanted to keep were going to be loaned out and then will return if we get promotion this year (and he isn't playing for Wormwood Scrubs FC)?

1. Wages high and we need to reduce the overall bill.

2. Too much quality for the Championship.

3. Too much baggage for our supporters unlike the toon who like a wrong un.

4. Grimsby only offered £100 a week and a stone of Haddock as a win bonus so he has to make do with toon.

I like the idea that he is off the wages for the moment but will return when we are promoted ( ) to do a job in the Prem or we cash him in. He's still ours! Yes its a rum job when lil ol QPR can loan out a snail muncher to the pits of the UK cuisine areas.

relegation release clause

1 - Wages
2 - Found a club daft enough to give us £2m just to borrow him
3 - Wages
4 - Told when he signed that he could leave if we were relegated.

Do you really think F1 Remy, is suited to the championship anyway?
Between this and Julio, beginning to wonder about you blobby!!!!

Didn't he sign with the condition he could leave if we went down. It was worth it just for the extraordinary goal against Wigan....even though that game was painful for the duration.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Added to that... should he have an excellent season, his value will increase... though that might not be much use to us if we are not promoted.

More importantly... if we are promoted and he has a decent season, we will ineffect be improving our squad for no cost with a player with 18 months prem experience.

Win win for everyone concerned?

He's too good for us. He's too good for Newcastle to be honest but he needed to get a foot in the door and show his worth.

His Formula 1 tempremental body aside, he is a class player, he has everything you want in a modern striker.

ask Beavis I get nothing Butthead

plus the possible charge as well?

No obligation NOT to play him even if charged but

a) You (& Tony F perhaps) thought we shouldn't play if charged and

b) if charged doubt he would bein right frame of mind to play anyway.
