Soon as their awful goal went in I closed all the browser windows and went and played my bass guitar for the rest of the first half - just can't do it to myself so soon after Tuesday night.
Will give the 2nd half a go, but if it gets to 0-2 then its back to the bass.
Just cannot have another season of this anymore. |

If I thought it would do any good I would cancel my monthly direct debit as a protest and state that the vendor has not provided sufficient quality of product to have fulfilled their contractual obligations.
The reality is that the club would not even find out about it and I would end up in a small claims court as the debt is owed to a finance company not the club.
Sat there tonight at half time remonstrating with myself for doing this to myself after a shït day at work instead of sitting at home staring at a blank wall for more enjoyment.
I left at 3-1.

Agreed, with the exception of the 3 centre backs who at least are throwing everything away from the goal.
We literally cannot string 2 passes together outside of our own box. |

Symth definitely pulled that ball back towards Morgan and did not miss-hit that cross.
You see him turn his head in all the replays of the goal on the socials.
Thought Symth was very good last night. He will now start getting stick for putting crosses in to "dangerous areas" "when there is nobody there".
Jury is still out on Celar but as the Sky team said after the game "12 touches in the whole game" is not going to win him any goals or plaudits. |

Which makes me think had we played a full strength team and been less passive from the start that they would have simply realised earlier that they were in a real game and had to get into higher gear - with the same result. We will never know unless we try.
I felt at times Eze was easing up and playing at a very relaxed pace, even for him. |

Brian as Marti cannot come on here and defend himself, then speaking on his behalf and trying to see it from his position and that he did not mean to disrespect the competition but on Sunday or Monday he finds that where he is with the injuries he felt he had to play that team tonight.
JCS and Morrison out, he needs 2 of Cook, Jimmy and Sam to cover CB for next 2-3 games, so tries to rest Jimmy who is also first choice RB so far. He has to therefore slot in Ashby and get him playing time in case, God forbid Cook or Field get an injury or red tonight and Jimmy HAS to play CB.
That takes Field out of Midfield and Colback was not even on the bench tonight - so is that rest or injury as well?
I think he could have and should have started with Frey tonight , I reckon he is robust enough to do 3 a week now - but again maybe that is a risk to far.
I think management diplomacy probably puts a positive spin on these cup games to say that they want to give us squad players their chance to show they are good enough, but the reality is probably that they are not and therefore to protect our league position and the managers’s job they have to be put in the firing line for one off games where our league position and the manager’s tenure is not affected over the coming weeks. |

Don’t want to start peeing on the good bit of positivity on here about the 2nd half but other than his goal which we gifted him the space I felt Eze was taking his foot of the gas with us in mind. Gave a better account of ourselves than I thought we might when I saw the team sheets but the few changes improved us 2nd half and we gave it a good go.
Like many really am worried about Celar. Really felt he gave nothing again tonight just ambling about with no real aggression. I just hope it is still a case of more game time needed against league opponents and having quality ball offered him to work with but he needs to start adding value. |

Very sorry to hear your terrible new mate.
RIP Jim.
Look after yourself mate, whilst it is a very personal journey and one I find myself going through myself these last 3 months and my brother was James too, let it out if you can, however it needs to, talk and cry.
The good memories will brighten as the memories of the struggles and hardship begin to fade in time.
Take care of yourself mate and God bless Jim and that he is out of pain. |
