The comments on Jim are fully mental. His subs surprised me yesterday but more for how early they were: Mani had no change from their CBs or service from our players first half, Hendo immediately made more of a difference with his movement. Halifax came out firing after HT and it was their tactical tweak that made the difference. Jim adapted, but it seemed more to be based on being solid and pinching something which initially had worked. Had the subs come later, maybe he could have made something after the 2nd to shore it up, but likewise we might not have been 2-0 up. We had more than enough chances to put the game to bed and didn't (again): it should have been 3 at HT, with Dev's goal, Gordon's free header from a corner and Moss (I think) somehow missing the ball at the far post from Dev's cross with an open goal, then Hendo should have got another with the 1-on-1. Thought Hosannah was poor and it was his man free at the back post who ghosted in. |

Massive. One year extension, to the summer of 2027. With Francis coming in, he was the one player I was worried might be off in the summer. [Post edited 13 Feb 12:02]

Agree with this. It was an awful game because of the Carlisle set up, but they nullified us completely. Each of our usual outlets were blocked off. As expected, the goal opened things up slightly and we were unfortunate not to extend the lead |

Late Kitching volley and Davies late, late winner to come from behind! |

Could be an interesting one. There must be a reason that he doesn't stay long at clubs, but I'd rather we have our own player as a backup option rather than a loanee. He's scored goals in some places, but not at others - York fans on twitter don't rate him (to put it mildly) but that doesn't mean he won't do a job for us, provided he works hard and can hold it up |

I'd imagine this would be the case |

Amantchi and Broome gone back, Galvin recalled by Barnet. Presumably Whatmuff is nearly back? Galvin I'm not overly concerned about if Taz is back, Amantchi a shame it didn't work out but no surprise. |

New contract till 2027. Let's hope this gets the ball rolling on a few, like Gordon, Beckwith, Gilmour etc. |

Wasn't the discussion that the biggest issue was that the drains hadn't been touched since 1907? Then they were looked at and somehow got worse... Not 100% sure anymore since there's been hat much happen to it. Was it the drains that Bottomley's mates botched? |

I think "Hogan fell over on the ball" is a bit harsh. Ball over the top, Myles met it and headed it out but they retained possession and kept coming. Hogan put in a brilliant block, the couldn't get it out from under his feet/tried to protect it and no one offered support. |

Has anyone seen anything mentioned about a stream? I know last year NLTV had free streams of the group stage, don't know if this is still the case this year. EDIT: It's live on the National League YouTube channel, don't know if this is the case for all games [Post edited 12 Aug 2025 15:31]

Agreed as a back up keeper, but I thought we needed to sign a 1st choice who could be pushed by Whatmuff, so we didn't have a 17yo keeper to start the season. I suppose this could still happen but it seems unlikely now. |

Keeper, initial one-year deal after trial. Haven't seen him play, but not the experienced head we seemingly needed to push Whatmuff for the no.1 shirt... [Post edited 31 Jul 2025 16:09]

Both McBride and Burger are injured apparently. The former back in training today, Burger out for a further 4 weeks. This passed on from family who heard it from someone at the Grimsby game, who had seen them all in the gym, so it must be true! |

It was Jim's comment of people missing "for different reasons". Doesn't mean anyone's leaving, but easily read that way. |

Oliver Whatmuff, season-long loan from Man City. He's 17... |
