Karl Ready - help required
at 17:49 25 May 2016

When John Hollins was managing the reserves they played at Oxford one evening. (Their old ground). Karl got sent off, stormed down the tunnel and promptly smashed the glass shower door. It made the local rag (Oxford Mail).

I believe Rangers had to pay for the damage.

I always fancied a replica shirt with 5 'un-Ready' on the back!

Brilliant write-up.

I remember the pass at Reading as if it was yesterday.

Great player, lovely bloke.

I used to sing 'She does it right' in a band.
Love the band.

Wasn't really aware of the Aldershot info. Thanks.
Saw Appletons stats on Sky last night......Last two posts win rate 16% each. How is he better than Waddock then?

Oxford are in the middle of a takeover, so also a strange time to change the manager. Although a West London 'boy' I've lived in Oxfordshire for many years. Every year when it's league cup time the local rag can't print an article without mentioning "......QPR........Milk Cup Final...." Drives me nuts.

Waddock Given the Tin Tac
at 18:18 4 Jul 2014

As a resident of Oxfordshire (Don't mention the Milk Cup) I can fill in a bit more detail, according to local say-so.

Oxford were already on the slide. Wilder was out of contract at the end of the season and wanted a two year deal at least. Oxford would only give him a year so he went off to Northampton who were adrift at the bottom. He kept them up and beat Oxford last game of the season in doing so.

The performances under Waddock were not good but I don't think it is fair to put all the blame on him. Having said that, it was a surprise when he was appointed. What as he ever done as a manager?

In our promotion season I thought he was as good as ANY Rangers midfielder I had ever seen since my first visit in 1969.
Just wanted him to get back to that level and the signs were he was on his way.
Gutted. Just gutted

'It,s not fair. If, during the season, any other championship club gets charged by the F.A. about a dodgy transfer we won't know if they are going to get a points deduction and how many points it will be. So we won't know how many points we'll need to get promoted.'

Hazard just kicked a Swansea ballboy
at 22:25 23 Jan 2013

If pro footballers spend match after match trying to cheat and con refs and other players and the FA & Blatter bury their heads in the sand then how can anybody be surprised when a 10 year old copies what he sees, and appears accepted, week after week.
If the scum had any good in them they should take action NOW against Hazard. But they won't because they are so up their own ar**s

I was there as a 14 year old. Loved Martyn Busby as a player. Always had a smile on his face. Anyone know what he is up to now?

Agree. Saw him live in CA 4 years ago. Theres a live DVD out there from about 7 or 8 years ago which is great. The backing band on Silk Degrees evolved into Toto and until his untimely death the late, great Jeff Porcaro played drums on most of Boz's stuff.

Went to the Womens football at Cardiff, guest of a good mate....also a Rangers fan. We were a few seats away from a family with 3 young boys kitted out in the Tango 3rd shirts. Mike went over and asked them where they came from. The answer.......New Zealand. The parents lived in West London and are bringing their kids up in NZ as Rangers fans.
First womans matches I've ever seen live and have to say I was impressed. The Team GB ladies moved the ball about with confidence, from the back, and with a lot more speed than the men.

Read page 11 and those posted during the City game. How sad are these people? Does their whole football pleasure revolve around us getting relegated? Just shows you how bad their division and team must be. Very, very funny.

Sky reporting Rio left out, Terry going to Euros.
at 23:10 15 May 2012

FA hiding behind '...we can't do anything because of the pending court case.' So, in theory, Terry could lift the trophy and a week later be found guilty of raial abuse. If Terry plays I won't be watching or supporting England.
