Cardiff City with big losses declared

If it wasn't for Tan they'd have long ceased to exist.

I just think we got the midfield mix wrong. Fulton and Franco are both very good at what they do, but neither of them are really the kind of player to drive things forward. That left us with a massive gap between the midfield and the forward three (four if you include Walta) so he kept dropping deep to try and get some possession, which meant for the most part he wasn't where he needed to be when we actually did get forward.

I'd like to see him teamed up with Galbraith and Yalcouye. Second half we might have seen more from him.

Preston North End and that Cullen header
at 15:02 25 Feb 2026

As OTT in its praise of Cullen as it is in it's criticism of Cabango and Burgess to be honest.

It was a decent flick header, but World Class Moment?

It was what Cullen is sometimes good at. Nicking a late goal. Shame about the rest of his game really.

Like most players at this level Viggy has weaknesses that mean he's not likely to be top level. As good as most people thought DeVries was the last time we went up there were weaknesses in his game that made him someone we'd have probably upgraded on whether he'd stayed or not. LV is in a similar category for me.

Good enough for us at the moment though. His attributes outweigh his weaknesses by some distance.

Agree on Eom's set pieces. Put several lovely balls over.

The stats are doing him a disservice.

That first half performance left us with too much to do.

Yalcouye and Nunes need to be starting. Key at RB too. Galbraith is wasted and a borderline risk there. Not sure what we wanted Walta to do and he didn't appear to know either. Wasn't nearly advanced enough if he was supposed to be the AM.

Much better second half though and just about deserved a draw overall.

Yep.

FWIW I don't think we'll get anything like that for front of shirt sponsorship, but even £2-3m would probably be a four fold increase on what we're getting now. Maybe more.

Just for context, five or six million is probably more than we'll make this season for all our gate receipts combined.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of issues with Rupert Lowe. His approach has emboldened some nasty pieces of work (like Steve Laws) and they need to be slapped down.

It is encouraging however to see a political leader unafraid to state an opinion. To not care about the usual smears from cowards and idiots that have been so successful in the last couple of decades.

Their power is waning, and Ratcliffe giving into them will only slow that effect.

If Bristol was a one club city they'd have the potential to be a serious power.

What's the point of having "F*ck You!" money if you don't say "F*ck You?"

You cannot apologise or take a backward step with these people. To do so is tantamount to an admission of guilt and he did nothing other than state an opinion, which is still, despite the efforts of some, not illegal in the UK.

Rupert Lowe has been better at dealing with the howls of complaint so far.

I think a lot of that is down to the nature of a player like Vipi. He's there to finish chances. Some forwards are forever charging about, closing down, creating space etc, and others are just clinical. Not worse, just different.

Ultimately scoring goals is what we're paying him to do. People can want/expect more from him in other aspects, but at the end of the day he's won the game.

Any views on Burgess for the two goals

Perchy hates Eom. He'll slag him off no matter how he plays.

It's kinda his thing.

Even when we win, you seem to mostly post to slag players off and pour your poison on those you hate.

What do you get out of this? Seriously? You can't have many years left. I'm sure you'd be better off spending them doing things you enjoy rather than hate watching a club you claim to care about yet clearly don't.

So agreeing with people makes them gay?

Just when you seem to have hit rock bottom, you find a new low.

Live music?
at 18:48 21 Feb 2026

Went to this last night. Fantastic show.

She's a really unusual live performer. When she's engaging/talking with the crowd she looks terrified. Mumbly, quiet and wringing her hands in the way that anxious people often do.

As soon as the music starts? It's like someone flips a switch in her. Dancing, whirling across the stage and her voice is something else.

EU nationals with British passports
at 19:10 17 Feb 2026

In common with many other countries including France and Germany, UK Birthright citizenship has not been a thing since the early 80's. It depends on whether at least one parent is a citizen. If neither are, then it's wide open to things like settled status, EU residence etc.

A child who, although born in the UK hasn't lived here in over a Decade is not automatically entitled to a passport no matter how good a footballer he is. Which is as it should be.

I certainly don't disagree with you. All all levels in the UK entrepreneurship is becoming harder and harder, be it through taxation or legislation.

It's just the complete lack of understanding of anything regarding how economies work you only find on the left.

I've seen people grumbling now about Tesco. About how none of their staff should be on UC because of their "gargantuan" profits.

Firstly, Tesco's profit margin, in line with most of the supermarkets, is about 3%. That's tiny and gives very little margin for error. Secondly, a lot of their staff are part time. Parents, people in marriages where one only works PT to help with childcare. That's what UC was designed for.

Imagine the looks on their faces when they realise that their tax rises have actually resulted in a decrease in tax revenue.

If only that was a well established and understood economic reality that people had pointed out to them before they undertook such an idiotic approach.
