To be frank I don’t think the WAG, FAW, WRU & Y11 all together could muster that sum of money. Can see them going the way of AFC Wimbledon when Tan throws the towel in |

Where does fair play & sustainability fit in with those figures then ? The cost of being top of the third division & Wales’ third ranked club, worth the money ? |

The floodgates have been opened & it’s getting even worse. Shambles of a succession of weak governments pandering to the minority & the ECHR |

I recently read that the trend was for students to favour multiple occupancy housing. I can see there will be a trend to use the city centre housing as non student residences. There have been multiple applications in Cardiff city centre to change the use of housing away from designated student housing. Developers have got around the planning system by building for student use for quite a few years now. Saturation is nigh - there are already plans afoot to use the old Sun Alliance building on St Helens road for the homeless. It doesn’t take much imagination what many of the new ‘student’ dwellings will be used for |

Eastville was always a good trip back in the day. In my memories the place was always overrun with Swans fans as it was usually our shortest away trip. We once went back down the M4 in a double decker bus with no windows after some bright spark suggested a pint in Avonmouth which led to an altercation with a gang of bikers. Those were the days … |

Two very good sides. I thought Boro’ played the better football but didn’t really create a lot of chances (sound familiar ?). It will be a really good measure to gauge how we are progressing when we play these at home. |

And some people are so arrogant that they are unable to accept alternative viewpoints even in a football forum. I don’t think Fisher or Fulton in any starting eleven would fill many with any confidence for a club with ambitions of challenging for promotion. You do. Get over yourself |

Really have to question the quality of our Academy if these players have been given new contracts. Most fans will be hoping that neither of these players ever have to start a game so are effectively taking 2 places in the squad meaning 2 less places for Academy options. |

This is the crux of it the WRU have failed to plan for years & is now reaping the rewards. Welsh rugby players remind me of English footballers, not a lot going on between the ears. As poor as the discipline was portrayed by the commentators I felt that we were being reffed out of it at every opportunity from the start. No doubt our players need to understand the rules a bit better but there was definitely a feeling that the ref wanted to get the limelight early on. I turned it over at about 20 minutes, I expected the final scoreline to be much worse |

They have alienated half of the rugby following population of South Wales. If the member clubs don’t call an EGM with a vote of no confidence, I believe things will actually get worse. Absolute disgrace. The only other options now seems to be if Swansea city council can pull off a legal intervention, Llanelli & Newport refuse to sign the proposals on the table … long shots. Hope they fail to sell all the leftover tickets still at extortionate prices |

I can categorically say that is the weakest starting Welsh XV that I have seen in my lifetime. Will probably give this match a miss. |

Nanny state pretty much sums up the Senedd. It will get even worse if Plaid & the Greens get more seats. Tough times ahead for young working people & the hospitality industry. The sick, lame, lazy & asylum seekers meanwhile have never had it so good |
 | Forum Reply | Leo Walta : The inside news plus the clubs the player ignored at 12:00 3 Feb 2026
Pretty impressive if the club really managed to beat Boro & Ipswich to him, especially with Hellberg factored in. We have been beaten to too many signings in the past by the likes of Stoke and it is pointless trying to compete with these sorts of clubs by throwing money at it. It does make you wonder how some of these clubs operate when they regularly piggyback on other clubs hard work. Well done Gorringe & Worth on this one. That’s Galbraith & Walta openly stating that Swans was their first choice destination [Post edited 3 Feb 12:15]

Seems to have good passing range (similar to Ferrie Bodde), good eye for goal, lots of energy to play the high press, lots of driving runs on the highlights reel. Physical stature seems to be the only drawback. Could be well worth the outlay, hopefully to complement Galbraith not replace him … |

Cabango’s handball was as inexplicable as Vips two misses. Matos needs to find a different way of playing away from home, more pragmatism may be required. He needs to see that teams will attack us more on their home patch if we play such an open game. Our defence is not good enough to soak up pressure and too slow when top half teams play on the break. Our performances away from home have deserved more but the fact that we have only beaten one team in the top half all season says it all. We need to lose the gallant loser tag & be more clinical somehow |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City : Friday night round up, Barry Bannan & Hull City away at 23:32 23 Jan 2026
If Bannan was ever going to join us it would have been when Carvahal was our coach, (not long after being let go by Sheffield Wed). He wasn’t deemed good enough then & he most certainly is not good enough now. Decent player in his time but that ship sailed a long time ago |
