I think Morrison provides good cover for Dunne and Edwards as a really decent looking CB partnership. Whether being second option works for Morrison personally is I guess a different question. |

Lovely stuff. Thinking about what Andy said about floors and ceilings, and the team against West Ham. Although we've lost Burrell and Varane (first team regulars), we'll presumably still be starting with Kone, Madsen, Dembele, Dunne, who have high-ish ceilings when they really fancy it. If we can turn up and get going, I fancy us to get a result |

I mean, that's fair enough to an extent - but I do think giving it "LOL - Wrong! LMAO!" etc and then saying "you wouldn't know her she goes to another school" is a bit having your cake and eating it tbh |

Yeah where's this coming from, definitely remember the likes of Dave Mc saying it was around 3m? |

I said a week or so ago that id come round to the idea of pulling out all the stops to sign HR, because of what he offers in terms of progressing the ball out of defence etc in the absence of JCS. The gaps in the squad look a bit different this week with all the injuries... Still, like everyone has said, it's hard to imagine this not being a sound investment, especially as a known quantity, and he'll arrive with a lot of good will and feel-good factor. Plus, despite gaps appearing elsewhere in the squad CB is a position where we remain vulnerable. Welcome back Handsome Ronnie |

I still can't make up my mind on Sinners. It was simultaneously both more and less than D till D. It had far more depth, more craft, more artistry. But as a narrative, it's far less fun. The musical scene at the hall was a work of art. But overall I just didn't get in to it. Feel like I should have loved it - it's about music, politics, and vampires! An odd one |

I was dying for him to take the shot anyway, even after it was flagged offside - I want to see him score one on one with the keeper ! I think that was the passage of play during which Dembele turned his back on the game and strolled back towards the halfway line, rather than - I don't know - bust a gut to support a breakway attack. Disappointing stuff from him. He comes across as a decent guy in interviews, but his in game attitude appears to properly stink sometimes [Post edited 6 Jan 8:19]

One of the things I noticed when I gave up drinking was how much better I take a bad QPR performance or result. In the past I would get in to a seething, frothing rage - especially over injustices. I watched the QPR v Man Utd game when Shaun Derry got sent off when Ashley Young took a dive whilst in a bar in Germany on a stag do. I was sent outside at half time to cool off because I was in such a rage. Not good. But yeah these days I don't quite hit the euphoric highs, but nor do I hit the far more frequent crushing lows. The Norwich one last week did piss me off though. |

Yes, having a hungry young striker whose first thought is to get a shot away is no bad thing - especially when he's capable of striking it as well as he did for that first goal, and especially within the context of a run of games where we've averaged something like 1.5 shots on target per game. It's testament to the deeper squad this year that we at least have some reasonable cover for each of those, but it is alarming. I haven't seen any of the first half, can they be attributed to the state of the pitch do we think? The Poku one is really frustrating. At the start of the season he was the player that I was most excited about seeing, but you wonder whether we're going to see what he's about at all this season. |

I have to admit I missed the first half, and was doing other things whilst watching the second, but my impression was that the whole team were pretty laboured and uninspired until Kolli scored. I always think it's hard to judge a striker when the team behind them isn't flowing properly, although I did see him misplacing passes in dangerous areas like I say. But, when you're not playing regularly it's easy to make mistakes by trying to force things that aren't on, especially if you're young. And the most important thing is that he's shown again that he has an instinct for scoring. We've lacked that for years - apart from the few games he played last season in fact! For me he's a talent we should be excited about cultivating, and if Burrell is out for a while, now's the time. |

Re Morgan, he and Field seem to have become utility players, both having now played as CM, FB, and up front. Bit of a double edged sword, in that he's getting game time but 'm not sure that's great for his development and establishing himself as a first team player? |

Don't think I belong to a camp, but tremendously gratifying seeing one of our own playing with freedom and confidence, putting away two classy finishes in front of the loft. God knows the truth of all the off field shenanigans, but really hope he gets more games and grows. He could do with cutting out some of the more speculative passes in dangerous areas , which will hopefully come when he's more confident of his place and not trying to force it Does anyone know what the odd angry look after his first goal was about? Some in joke goal celebration, or a reaction to something from the crowd? |

Lovely strike that, and nice link up with Kone. Strange angry look on Kolli's face after he scored, what's that all about ? [Post edited 4 Jan 13:51]

JS said something about there not being enough time to work on different shapes and tactics before tomorrow, but I hope he does consider man marking Bannan. With the rate that games are coming at us, and how tedious they have been, feeling a bit flat about this one. As James said: |

Good luck to him if we do have interest - and Dave is unlikely to have made that up. Could see him being a bit of a monster in League 1. |

Yeah read that earlier. You can totally see how that scenario, plus potentially a fat pile of cash earned from your playing career, could lead to some fairly self-destructive places. |
