Ideally...etc etc. But the club have to balance finances, player morale, bringing on young assets etc etc I really like Field, but he's been poor this season, imo. Hopefully he'll get the game time he craves, and deserves, at Norwich, and if they don't buy him he'll be putting himself in the window, at least. Varane, Morgan, Hayden, Morgan and Ronnie see us well served in midfield, while Esqui's showing at Oxford was really positive. And Ronnie can cover there. We are in with a play-off shout this season, but pragmatically we're also building for the future. It's a real juggling act, but I don't think this is a dropped ball, as such. |

Yeah, I'm still not sure on it. Their lad wanted a soft free kick in the build up to our second, he didn't give that either. He was even-handed. |

I think he's happier with Walsh behind him, he's not having to defend under his own crossbar. He was great today, as was the whole defence. Nice to see some good ol' fashioned reducers go in on Rudoni, as well. |

I once bought my wife 'the David Lean collection' for me... Probably my favourite director, although I'm no film buff |

Really difficult, and my list would change by the day, but today..... Master and Commander This Happy Breed Gladiator The Castle just missed out. It should be best 3 films by genre. Great to be reminded of so many great films..African Queen, Laurie of Arabia, The Man Who Would Be King, etc. |

That's got to be a straight red. |

Ah, harsh. Needed someone like him when we got him, albeit the contract extensions were strange. But it's £500k in the bank when he scores his 50th international goal. Hope we included a sell-on clause. He was no use to a team that plays on the transition, but that's not his fault. Good luck to him. [Post edited 27 Jan 8:32]

Aside from the injuries, I think that in general we struggle against the more physical sides. |

What you've all forgotten, is that Jake Clarke Salter can fill in at left back. 🤨 |

He was found guilty on 'the balance of probabilities' and not 'beyond reasonable doubt'. That threshold is too low for me. Other things he has done doesn't mean he did this.if you want to judge players by their previous actions, look no further then Hannibal - recently fined for spitting at Leeds fans, sent off for stamping on someone's stomach etc. I wouldn't trust either of them, being my point. |

The straw I'm grasping is that being hard to beat is a phase we have to go through as we prepare for a proper attempt at the play-offs next season. The George Graham way of 'start with the defense'. Do we look fit enough? Someone who knows a bit about this sort of thing has been questioning it all season, and we got very ragged again in the second half. Inverted wingers? I'll join Hunterhoop on that, it's a no for me. How many times do our wingers have to not cut in and score for this to be abandoned? The plus points...I thought Bennie did well enough, showed good energy. Walsh is looking like a real positive, comnands his box better then the other options, was quick to spot danger some accurate distribution. Galling for Esquerdinah. He was looking very comfortable and linking up well in attack. Fingers crossed for him. |

Osmasic's ban for racially abusing Hannibal had never sat well with me. The blokes obviously not a nice man, on the football pitch anyway, but he was found guilty 'on the balance of probabilities', which is too low a bar as far as I'm concerned. |

Two good games for Walsh, and he's shown a bit of character too. Nice not to have Stoke dropping balls in the 6 yard box as well - with a more physically dominant keeper it's not only about what he does, its also about what the opposition don't do. |

A year younger then Alfie, pretty similar number of appearances and twice as many goals. And height - we weren't winning first ball up the pitch yesterday. We do need someone in reserve who can offer a bit more then Alfie appears to be able to, although not for want of trying. |
