You're right about both Jordan Botaka and Casper Sloth, both MUST be given their full opportunities between now and the end of the season. In the case of Botaka, he's trying for a place against Mustapha Carayol, who is rumoured to not be staying beyond the end of the season ... that being the case, end his loan now, if possible, and play Botaka with a starting role. As far as Casper Sloth is concerned ... he has done absolutely nothing wrong other than be in competition for a place against our own academy players, however, the difference is that Sloth is a natural central attacking midfielder who has represented his country at all levels , something our own are not. He has shown with his performances with the development squad that he can make telling passes, retain possession, something we fail to do regularly, and he knows where the back of the net is ... play him in a number 10 role and lets all see if we do have a player on our hands, he mus be able to do better than Luke Murphy and Alex Mowatt. In both cases, we have nothing to lose ... and maybe plenty to gain. |

It's all down to opinions Lucas ... imo, Giuseppe Bellusci, despite his mistakes is as good, if not better than any CB on the books. Sol Bamba is as likely to make a costly mistake as Bellusci, and Liam Cooper resorts to 'hoofball' far too much and is unable to use his right foot, other than for holding him upright. A look at the wins, and points gained when Bellusci's in the team compared to Bamba, it may just surprise you. |
