Andros Townsend

I'm quite happy to say Naughton proved me wrong so I really have no complaints with this, he's quick and can beat his man and should give us some more width on the right side along with giving us the option of playing Ayew more centrally I would think.

Report: Swansea City eyeing FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo
at 21:14 21 Oct 2015

Can't say I've seen too much of him but do know he's quite fast and supposed to be a decent technician.

Personally I think there are better prospects in the MLS if that's the route to go (Alvas Powell, Matt Miazga, Will Trapp, and Octavio Rivero to name a few) but considering his age and salary he's most definitely worth a look as he wouldn't be too terribly expensive.

I still think Trippier would do a fantastic job at RB, that being said I'm perfectly happy with Naughts and the level hes been playing at as of late.

I've also been watching a lot of MLS lately and I think Matt Miazga, Octavio Rivero, Alvas Powell, and Will Trapp are a couple of young guys that I wouldn't think would cost too much and could all make the jump up given a bit of time to become at worst good squad players.

Swansea City transfer rumours: Celtic star could be on the move and Neil Taylor
at 00:59 13 May 2015

Not surprised Taylor is being linked with a move away, he's by far the weakest link in our starting xi. I can only imagine what Jeff would be able to do with a LB partner than can truly get forward, interchange with him and cause all sorts of problems.

Newcastle agree £15 million deal for Swansea City target Aleksandar Mitrovic, s

I reckon making Oliviera's transfer permanent is realistic as I don't think he would cost a terrible amount since Benfica seem to want rid of him, he knows the team/system, and seems (at least to me) to be someone capable of playing with a partner up top in Monk's diamond or in our 4-3-3 as a lone striker role when required.

Also curious, what do we know about Gestede besides the lad is massive/scored a lot of goals this past season?

A new LB is a must for me, was rather interested in those links to Fuchs as he's a proven international and Izaguirre has always looked good when I've watched him play for Celtic.

At striker I'd like to see the rest of the season pass so we can get a real sense of what Oliviera is about while also figuring out what's going on with Gomis.

Most important for me is retaining those we already have (Gylfi, Ki, Cork, Shelvey, etc.).

Seems to thrive off of confidence rather like Bafe to me, was a completely different player the second half after scoring so I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do to close out the season.

Would also like to see him with a partner (Emnes if GM fancies the diamond next week maybe?) because I feel like it would suit his game a little better. Basically I'm imagining combinations between him and a partner similar to the combination between him and Cork that led to the third goal.

best player this season???
at 20:02 25 Apr 2015

Ki for me with Fab a very close second.

Glad to see Shelvey seems to really be performing lately and while I was very disappointed not to see Amat back in the XI after his injury Fede is really settling in nicely as of late too.

I reckon Guidetti would do a pretty decent job as cover for whoever our #1 striker is going into next season, don't really see anything in the others though personally.

Replacements at the back

I really like the look of Trippier, gave Taylor the business last time we played Burnley as well. Seems a real threat in the attacking third with those crosses while still getting back to defend so gets my vote.

Great news, would like to see him back in the side as prior to injury I felt he was fantastic (not to mention performing better than Fede has been for the most part of this season)

Pillaging the Relegated Teams

This was my only thought seeing him, would be like having a smaller, less physical Bafe up top (albeit more clinical based on this season, and faster) but they seem to both like playing on the shoulder of the defender.

Pillaging the Relegated Teams

Was doing a bit of thought after the match and was really impressed with Trippier's performance, personally think that if Burnley goes down it would be worth our while to send a cheeky offer their way. (Realize we just bought Naughton, but this is more for discussions sake)

Anyways, curious if you guys can think up anyone else that might be worth a punt if their team goes down?

Green Bay Packers - Fan Ownership Model
at 04:08 26 Feb 2015

America began as an underdog, which basically explains our deep love for the concept and the whole "David vs Goliath" scenario.

And 3 + 4 for me as well, between the style that set us apart and the fact that we are the little club that can go toe to toe with the big boys and win made it hard not to love the club. I think the best way to grow out fan base here in the States is simply to preseason tour over here every year (strategically picking new areas of the country to try to "spread the influence" so to speak) and to continue to perform domestically (doing the double over ManU and other such big results coupled with finishing highly up the table). With NBC's TV deal the exposure to the EPL is only increasing amd the best way to win over new fans is to impress them and make them take notice of us.

I think this is the problem, our play has suffered because I feel no one in the side trusts Bafe enough to play through him unless necessary.

Tom for five mill

Yes for me, shown flashes of being able to run a game from the midfield in those that we see enough possession and he's improving defensively. Not to mention he already understands our system and is about as good of an eventual rpl sennet for Leon as we are likely to find

If we can get him for a similar price to what Gomis is being talked about selling for (+/- 2-3 mil) seems a no brainier to me to sell Bafe and pick this lad up.

A bit more of a long term decision as he would need to learn the league/team before he will start scoring but ive heard nothing but good things about his talent and potential, and he's banging in goals in a league of similar quality to that of the Dutch league where Wilf was doing the same thing.
