Absolutely, I hope Marti is backed loud and proud on Saturday |

I wholeheartedly agree that we can be more opportunistic with talent in the EFL, especially locally. Even going to youth level, take Michael Olise, born and raised in White City, playing for Hayes and Yeading before bouncing around youth teams. I hope we're in a better position now to start getting these guys signed up. |

I get the sentiment but "Where are we signing players from? Brest." Seems a bit misleading when this signing was based off a great season in the EFL with Blackpool, as was Morrison with Wigan, Vale with Bristol R. We should be looking in the EFL for talent and I hope we continue doing so but I like that we don't limit ourselves to just these leagues. It's very telling when our POTS contenders include Varane, Saito and Nardi last playing in Spain, Netherlands and Belgium respectively. |
 | Forum Reply | So player of the season? at 15:45 21 Mar 2025
Varane 36/42 games played, what is the cut off point for contention do you think? |
 | Forum Reply | So player of the season? at 12:18 21 Mar 2025
Breaking down players limitations and then saying Field for POTS, might be some irony there I'd go for Dunne with it not being that close. Stats and eye test, the most involved player in our defense, buildup and attack this year Nardi, Saito and Varane honorable mentions |
 | Forum Reply | Chair's hammy at 16:10 13 Mar 2025
Really? In a team completely devoid of attacking output we're now happy with Chair being injured. Below are goals and assists in 2025 (min 2). I really don't think it's as great news as you're suggesting Chair 7 Frey 4 Paal 3 Dunne 2 Saito 2 Morgan 2 |
 | Forum Reply | Chair's hammy at 16:01 13 Mar 2025
As always seems to be the way with our fans and our best creative attacking players It's telling that the fans of any team playing us will always talk about Chair before anyone else |

I understand your hypothetical but just wanted to add context for Morrison's situation with injuries I feel that Marti's outlook is to field the best team possible and will not be dictated by any off the field situation (contracts, loan). Hence last year Willock was still playing, Hayden is getting minutes over Dixon-Bonner etc. Ultimately his position is very competitive with Edwards, Cook, Fox and JCS when fit. With this and the fact they are being careful with his minutes it is difficult right now. I'm sure when the time comes he will have a starting berth. JCS - Morrison from next season |

Had to make sure this wasn't a CSKA Moscow forum with how much pro-Russia slop is in this latter pages of this thread. I don't think history will react to those viewpoints so nicely Slava Ukraini and I hope this EU coalition can be the building blocks to bring peace to their land |

Morrison is coming back from 2 nasty injuries (and a surgery) this season. He's only 21 and they are easing him back in Even with this he's played 11 games and with the 11 games left I'd imagine the minutes will start to ramp up The 3 game to 30 game comparison is quite an exaggeration here I think |

This "loans are contracted to play % of games / minutes" should be added to the "pay as you play" "can Remy play in playoffs" LFW encyclopedia I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere yet I see it posted here constantly as fact Ashby hasn't started a league game since 6th January and barely played any minutes since Edwards was signed as cover (great timing with JCS and Morrison injuries and definitely has minutes ramped because of that) Yang is used as one-two combo with Smyth and has only started twice in 6 games. Cover was also needed in right side of attack There's some teams in the league that have to leave loans out as they are past the quota of allowed loan players in a matchday squad (5). I'm not finding any issue with our business this season in this regard [Post edited 3 Mar 11:41]

I don't think this idea of freezing out loan players would benefit us at all in future windows. Loan market if done correctly can be very impactful (10/11 - Walker, Routledge, Smith, Miller) Agree with the sentiment of just playing our strongest XI e: didn't mean to reply directly to TheChef [Post edited 3 Mar 9:36]

Nice goal from Pearman, as you say has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement for the summer (Less said about the keeper the better) |

We were still receiving parachute payments so that income / wage ratio will look nicer. 35M of TV income that year compared to 9M in the past year |

It's actually no where near as bad as it is in the Championship. No doubt due to the crazy TV money they receive. But in comparison it does show the disparity of finances in the football pyramid and how much of a catastrophe our league is. The overspending on the "premier league gamble" cannot be sustainable for the majority of teams |

Found a list of Wages to Turnover from the previous 2 years - I wouldn't imagine much has changed. Being on the good side of that 100 I would say is "good". Ticking time bomb for some I'd imagine |

Can only find figures from a few years ago (bottom tweet) but this shows how much of a money sink clubs at this level are |

First time we've been under 100% since 2019, looks to be improving year on year. Just got to hope we keep going that way. A lot better than the 195% in 2014 |
