| News Comment | QPR the perfect party guests once more — report at 07:13:27
I agree with you report. The stats you've highlighted about Redknapp's Old Trafford visits with "lesser teams" is quite staggering. For me Redknapp is a charlatan, I just cannot believe the myth of him being a top manager and great motivator still exists. I wish we no longer had to put up with the utter disrespect and lack of empathy he shows our club and us as fans. Sadly, for me, this performance was yet another utter embarrassment Of course, we did not expect to win but wouldn't it have been nice to at least try..... Isn't that the point of sport??? Wouldn't it have been nice to come away with a tiny piece of self respect and some confidence for the next game?? Every-time we play a game that he considers to difficult to win or not important, like cup games, he sends a team out with the look of defeat before the game has even started... It's embarrassing and for me shows no great management or motivation skills. Plenty of other lesser teams continue to set examples with performances that include, passion, commitment and sometimes attacking intent. Sure, more often than not, they still loose but at least take something out of the game. Instead, Redknapp's team talk at Old Trafford must have gone something like this " right lads, it's impossible for us to win today so let's not bother using too much energy trying. Let's forget about their weak defence - don't bother trying to exploit that. Just sit back and let their world class attacking players keep attacking us as much as they want! Don't worry about the fans who have travelled up to support us, we'll see the next week at home and we'll try and win that" There is not one single positive to take away from any of our away games so far, not one! Confidence is important in football.., I'm pretty sure some positives from any if these games would have left everyone involved the club feeling better about things. |
| News Comment | Right sort — preview at 08:39:47
I've made it clear from day 1 how little I think of HR and no need to go over all the reasons again but his comments on Morrison in my opinion have been the most embarrassing and laughable yet. Apparently we need a maverick who can unlock defences..... I'm still struggling to see what was wrong with the one we had?? Oh yeah I forgot... this one is gonna be a Triffic lad and the right sort?? Words fail me |
| News Comment | Harry Redknapp — short term solution for long term problems? at 08:57:57
I also have to admit that I thought Hughes was going to be a great appointment for us, I feel really sorry for TF because I can see why he did it. I've never felt the same about HR but I stillI feel sorry for TF because I can see why he hoped HR would be the man to keep us up. The problem is that I don't think HR cares about QPR one iota, in my opinion, he would have left even if he had of kept us up... Everton maybe??? Even taking into consideration the mess he inherited, I think he has failed miserably. The fact he escapes crtisicism baffles me and the way he palms the blame off onto anything other than himself is not a good quality. I also hate the fact hell happily alienate players such as Tarrabt, Faurlin, and DJ, all proven Championship players with a genuine affinity to QPR (exactly what we need) in order to get in his good lads. Having HR in charge scares me, I can only see bad things and like the article, I'm convinced hell be off in a heartbeat. I too crave some stability but if we do have to go with a short term fix, I expect that short term fix to at the very least.... pretend to care about our Football club! |
| News Comment | Green swaps east for west with QPR move at 19:51:35
I think Foster would have been amazing signing but i'm happy to trust Hughes. I am pretty sure that the stats will show Green has won more games by making great saves than he has lost through errors. Unfortunately Goalkeeper errors always stand out |
| News Comment | Lay down your pitchforks, Barton’s not the right target — guest column at 06:49:43
Really good piece and well balanced. Again, In no way do I want to defend JB, I dont really like the man and if he never played for QPR again then so be it. I just like things to be fair! I find the witch hunt against him shocking, in my opinion, there is no way that he should be turned into the anti christ! He definitely has a screw loose and a nasty streak that will probably never leave him but he is also a very good football player, this fact seems to get overlooked ?? I think its because of his pathetic Twitter comments. It appears that his tweets seem to be the whole reason why he his hated so much. I hate his tweets also but why does that mean that the FA punish him in a way that makes no sense..... The same FA who beg UEFA to reduce Rooneys ban for a violent assault and allow Terry to continue representing his country in the light of a pending racsim trial??? I could go on with plenty of other examples. Remember UEFA allowing Terry to lift their trophy after being sent off for a violent assault in the semi??? It also seems unfair not to mention the fact that he was provoked and his Red against Norwich was another dusgrace and part of the same witch hunt?? Whatever happens to Barton, he must surely stop his pathetic, cringe worthy tweeting but after looking at all of these issues and the fact that football also welcomes back players who have served Prison Sentances for sexual assault and killing people while drink driving, can it really be fair that he suffers this reaction?? Like I said at the start, I dont like the man and could take or leave him playing for QPR again.... I just like things to be fair and just. |
