No, the tickets for the Feyenoord game were sold out on the first day and the only way to obtain some would have been for crazy money.
Will be watching it on pay per view though and desperately hoping for the win and the subsequent bragging rights over my colleagues.

I'm Southampton born and bred but have been living in Apeldoorn, about 30 mins drive from Arnhem for the last 5 years. I'm lucky enough to have my tickets for the Vitesse, Saints game already. A friend bought them for us and I too will be sitting in with the Vitesse fans. I knew living over here and not being a Saints season ticket holder my chances of sitting with the Saints fans were pretty much zilch. The reason I'm posting is because this talk of crowd trouble is horrifying. Having lived here a good while now I would like to say that the Dutch people are among the most peaceful and football loving people of I've met. Not to mention the affinity and connection they feel towards our club given the obvious Dutch connections. I've had many a good football chat with Dutch guys who all speak so fondly of us. Please by all means get your tickets any way and for any seat you can but please be respectful. Let's hope we win and win well but do so with dignity that retains our well earned reputation here in Holland. |

Thought I might mention while I'm on here, having of course talked with plenty of Dutch guys about Ronald Koeman, Tadic etc since we got them, the opinion seems to be that they think we've gotten ourselves a pretty decent manager there. Pretty much everyone seems to rate Tadic as really good player too. Looking forward to finding out for myself this season. COYR! |

Cheers Nick. I live in Apeldoorn. It's quite central. Been living here just over 3 years now. Unfortunately getting over to see my beloved Saints is a bit expensive but I do get to watch them every week via a live stream. Sometimes the quality is a bit dodgy but as long as I get to see them I'm happy. |

First post from me. Just wanted to say a big thanks for your time and effort with the site and postings Nick. Always enjoy your posts.
I felt especially compelled to post today as I felt Artur Boruc deserves a special mention. Given the situation earlier in the season I still cant help but feel extremely nervous any time there is any activity in and around our goal but yesterday Boruc was absolutely sublime. The man was pure superglue. He absorbed everything that entered his vicinity and commanded the area superbly.
Right now he's looking like a real class act. long may that continue. Of course yesterday we were superb right across the park but felt that Boruc deserved special praise as it seems in general (your post excluded Nick) that his contibution has gone largely unpraised. |
