Two stand out for me At White Hart Lane 1980, Spurs in first half went 2-0 up, but we came back with goals by Graham Baker and Steve Moran to make it 2-2 at half time. We then went 4-2 down before late goals by Moran and Charlie George gave us a 4-4 draw https://www.11v11.com/matches/ The other home to Arsenal in 2015 An amazing goal by Cuco Martina gave us the lead, with further goals by Shane Long 2 and Jose Fonte giving us a 4-0 win, among the best performances by Saints under Keoman. https://www.11v11.com/matches/ [Post edited 24 Dec 12:16]

My love of Saints is all down to my Dad, who was born in Southampton. First he took me to my first game in 64/65 season, then a few more games 65/66 including my first away game at Bristol City After that I would get to the occasional home game until he managed to get me a share of a season ticket in West Stand Centre with a workmate in late 60’s early 70’s I then continued to go to home games on the terraces in chocolate boxes, before migrating to Milton proper in mid 70’s But after leaving school in 1975 I was finally able to afford to go regularly to both home and away games, something apart from a few years when kids were young I’ve continued to do ever since, on several occasions not missing a game all season and only missing to Carrick Rangers and Norkopping europeon games in that period. Thanks Dad [Post edited 24 Dec 7:54]

It was quite clearly 3 at the back, second half, especially when Fellows came on, Manning was often further forward than Leo when we were attacking on the left. As for Lampard at the end, what a w*nker, not surprising given his families links with Arry [Post edited 21 Dec 7:08]

Doing all 5 games, finishing with weekend away for Boro game Despite so many away games in a short period, 3 league in 9 days, 4 away games in 15 days if you include Donny in cup fans turning out in good numbers, with first two games sold out, over 1400 sold for Boro, and around 1200 already sold for Cup game |

Just under 750 tickets left, so could easily sell out before Saturday |

Only world cups I’ve been to (one in Spain 1982, three in Italy 1990), and Euros in Sweden 1992, France 2016, England 2021 and Germany 2024) Although I didn’t get to see England play, in Euros in Germany only got tickets to for Spain v Italy But whilst there spent one day in Cologne, which was of Jocks, 4 of us Saints fans sat down next to a load of non Scots at a bar, 10 lads in table to right of us from Bristol (one Rovers, 9 City fans), on table to our left 10 Pompey fans (although one from Hedge End had a girlfriend who was Saints season ticket holder) Had great crack with all of them, as Pat says a generally no hassle with other England fans when abroad it’s more all in it together attitude, and really amicable. |

It certainly isn’t supporters groups, our seats were to the left of those seats in Block F, but around 50 that were left empty were in Block G The club certainly needs to do something about this, especially when we get an allocation of 2,000 or under. It’s now three games that this has been issue Hull, Charlton and Norwich |

Tickets prioritised in line with SFC criteria, most but not all will have been to at least 17 away games in last two seasons, as travelling away from London often easier than from Southampton. We have one member whose not missed an away game in 40 years, and a few others just a handful in that period The one thing is they actually all go to the games, rather than numerous supporters who just buy tickets never intending to go, then try to sell them on, just to build up their numbers. Driving up tomorrow, meeting others up there,f to enjoy night out in Norwich, in pub 10am before the game, then mate is driving us back after a quick pint after the game to let the traffic die down |

We are averaging 47 per game so far, despite only 3 going to Liverpool and 6 to Norwich in cup. You probably recognise the old faces like me, but in last 3 or 4 years a lot of new younger members have joined boosting our membership |

As I’ve stated on here before some are reserved for regional supporters groups (who are normal fans) ,so not just corporates or players Difference is however is regional supporters have to say how many tickets within their limits they require for each game prior to tickets going on sale, and members who get tickets allocated are generally from my experience on the same attendance record levels as those who get them using season tickets Not sure That applies to corporates and players, and their tickets are normally in separate blocks to regional supporters groups. |
