Many football fans know that The Proclaimers are massive Hibs fans and that their song "Sunshine On Leith" is sung at Hibs games.
But most people don't know that many years ago, Craig and Charlie Reid both worked as groundsmen for the club.
They got the sack after players complained that the grass was too long and it ruined their passing game.
In their defence, the brothers blamed this on stock shortages at B&Q
They went to branches at Bathgate no mower, Linwood no mower, Irvine no mower, Lochaber no mower, Sutherland no mower, Lewis no mower, Skye no mower... |

Now that Frank Skinner is no longer on Absolute Radio, he has a podcast "Frank Off The Radio". (Also check out his poetry podcast).
The only downside of it for me is that he no longer has the playlist that he ahd on his radio show, which was such a refreshing change from somewhat limited monthly playlist that Absolute prefers. |

This morning, tickets for ELO's farewell gig in Hyde Park, next July went on presale at £112 each.
(I wasn't planning to go, it was just out of curiosity after I wasted so much time unsuccessfully "queuing" for Oasis tickets)
Just checked again and they're already at £155.
I wonder what price they will be when they go on general release? |

My ex got her passion for keeping budgerigars from Mr Capes!
Apparently he was a highly regarded breeder of them.
