Schaerer are very good if you and your family, staff, customers etc drink enough coffee to warrant the outlay. Great cappuccinos every time and they look fantastic in glass mugs. You can never go back to instant though... Ours is three years old and so far has given no trouble. That's probably put the mochas on it... |

Nope. Have watched both the rugby tests against the Aussies, which illustrate the gulf between the two sports (from an international perspective) but aside from the Wales game which was on in the office, can't be bothered to watch the shambolic efforts of our international footballers. The penny dropped with the Lambert, Lallana, Shaw fiasco.... |

So, if you spend any time in London, (admittedly this is confined to Chiswick, Ealing, Fulham Twickenham, Richmond and Holland Park) you'll see why the vote is not a foregone conclusion. In the shires and the country at large there seem to be no Remain posters on display. (I live in the home counties and work in London, Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds and travel frequently between all those areas). However the Capital is completely the opposite. For that reason I think the Remain, Dears will edge it. Either way the losers are unlikely to be gracious in defeat... [Post edited 21 Jun 2016 0:30]

If by 'more than half a brain' we are referring to the cartel of metropolitan elites, media luvvies, big business vested interests / careerists, Davos/Bilderberg insiders and politicos for whom the whole business of democracy has become tiresome, then I'm sure you'd be pretty much on the mark. It may also be the case that you've illustrated rather well the sneering, condescending attitude that will provoke some people to stick a proverbial finger up. History tells us that. Whatever the outcome, history also shows us that the EU project will fail sooner or later and the idea that we can insulate ourselves from the consequences of that breakdown is fanciful. Thanks Ghost for that. Worked well on a BT wifi hot spot using small screen, with minimal buffering. In a combined team from tonight games, only Ozil, Sanchez and possibly Giroud would get in. We were well worth the draw and with more composure in the final third... 4-0 on aggregate and 4 points from the Gooners. Happy days. |

We're 9/1 at Bet 365. Or we were yesterday. Didn't check SL's odds - might regret that. |

Whilst you may prove to be right, surely it's too soon to jumping to these conclusions... We're only supporters at the end of the day, and should be getting behind the club. Let's take what the board are telling us at face value rather than believing the media, which as ever will be a mix of hype and fact. Where we are right now is no players have been sold and its the height of the silly season. |

OK, you do have a point and, of course, I agree the percentage of unsavoury characters amongst the Fratton faithful is significantly higher than here, although that would also apply to many other clubs! The fact that your hypothesis is perhaps correct doesn't alter the sentiment. That would mean Bournemouth as our local rivals for one thing... it just doesn't work. |

Appreciate that I am in the minority here, but I take no pleasure at all from their present plight, wish Pompey's supporters well in the future, and hope that our own recovery from administration provides some light at the end of the tunnel for them. Pompey have, after all, been in a similar position before and surely will bounce back. |

Only 2-1. How about 6-2? Worth a punt at 300/1? On second thoughts I've gone for 3/1 on Saints to win with SRL scoring. That's bound to put the mockers on.. |
| Forum Reply | Why next 6 games are important at 10:41 12 Apr 2013
Last year the difference, purely on places, was approx £755,000 per place, so that would imply that the difference is c£3.75m. Not sure how much prize money has increased by this season, but it hasn't gone down... |

Played cricket against Denham years ago (he was playing for Uplyme & Lyme Regis) and when he batted, got a huge edge to the keeper, but refused to walk. Comes with the territory I guess... |

We could get 50, if we beat Reading, which right now looks highly achievable. That defeat would consign Reading to the drop, deservedly so, as they don't have the calibre of player the other teams do. After watching QPR's 2nd half battering of Fulham last night, I can see them just possibly staying up, although its going to be very tight, with Wigan, Sunderland, Villa and Stoke in the mix. After watching Villa's abject performance v Liverpool, and the Sunderland game, I think they're the two favourites to go. It'll be interesting to see what impact Di Canio has though. Apart from Berbatov and their keeper, Fulham were pretty ordinary, and they were the only two that would have made a combined team from last night - we should finish well above them. |

According to the Guardian, David Milliband has agreed to stay on as a director at Sunderland, despite leaving the UK. Looks like they'll be OK then... |
| Forum Reply | A Weekend Without Saints The Preview at 14:07 22 Mar 2013
Hopefully this will cheer us up - Paddy Power have the bottom three as favourites for the drop, with Reading the worst at 1/16 followed by QPR at 1/7, Wigan at evens, Villa at 7/4 Sunderland at 7/2, and then Saints at 13/2. We are also quoted at 1/16 to stay up. |

The album is on Spotify. Haven't listened to it yet but its had good reviews, so now you've reminded me, have just stuck in on and added to my playlists. He sounds on good form, but older... |

Fingers crossed he doesn't end his career with an off-the-bench-goal-scoring-cameo in the last game of the season then |

I saw this coming - trying to run the Fat Duck, write all those Waitrose recipes, make Channel 4 cookery programmes and manage a mediocre football team in the home counties was never to work in the long run. Fair play, he gave it a crack though. Don't expect to see Waitrose maintain their shirt sponsorship next year. |
