Er yeah which is why part of me is not too unhappy that I can't make it.

Hope and pray for the attendees that we at least put out a strong team for this one.

Maybe it doesn't quite fit the criteria, but the story captivates from start to finish.

Even as a 3 year old listening to good old Capital Radio in my mum's car I thought "Hello? What's this?" Probably my favourite pop song of all time.

Apparently Leach:

- Is terrible at golf
- Makes awful coffee

Maybe.

All valid points.

I'd prefer Stokes to stay on as captain because I can't see any viable alternative (and definitely NOT Brook), but he may stand down anyway.

Critchley's issue was publicly throwing the players under the bus after the Fleetwood Cup defeat; they weren't having him after that.

Although after being sacked by Hearts in April he still doesn't appear to be in a job; so maybe he was not a great manager to start with!

Appreciate McCullum trying a different approach, and when it worked it was exciting to watch. But cricket presents you with lots of different situations and you have to sometimes temper your aggression and play more pragmatically. But arrogantly or otherwise he would only ever stick with one approach, and especially playing overseas you will come unstuck if you don't consider implementing different plans.

Re Madsen I think he was struggling to adapt to a new country and a new league - and Cifuentes didn't have the bandwidth (or couldn't be bothered) to deal with him while trying to get a competitive team out of the squad he was left to deal with.

Fair play to Archer though. Scores a 50, then goes and bowls ten overs for 15 runs sadly without reward.

There's been the occasional decent individual performance so far in the series, but as a cohesive team unit, fkn awful.

Assume they've already rebooked Noosa for four years' time...

Was absolutely packed in the away end last season, will be interesting to see if we take similar numbers this time round.

But yeah unless you get there really early don't expect to be in the "seats" that are on your ticket, and most likely you'll be standing the whole game too.

Aside from Root or maybe Stokes, none of them can apply themselves with the bat. Oh for a Cook/Trott/Collingwood to dig in and make the bowlers earn their wickets.

Once again we've prepared miserably for an Australia tour. McCullum and co just seem to have gone out of their way to ignore any previous experience of playing there. "We know better".

I hope he and Key go after this, but the ECB will be making the decisions and like most England sporting organisations they can't be trusted to do the right thing either.

SIGH

Yes something was alleged against him but not sure whatever came of it. In any case he carried on playing till 2018.

Real shame as I thought he was a great defender.

"Pressure he absorbs, cos his name is Terrell Forbes..."

I mean come on Danny that's just ridiculous.

Probably one for the best/worst football threads. But yeah De Canio's football was great, shame he didn't stay longer.

Paulo Sousa though was dreadful. Negative attritional stuff. Down there with the worst we've had I reckon.

Exactly. I'm not holding my breath. And being England we'll probably struggle to bowl them out in the morning.

Can't believe Carse didn't get dropped, Atkinson was a bit unfortunate. And rather than grasp his second chance he just seems to have got worse.

The spinner situation is a shambles, and clearly they realise they've fckd up with Bashir.

Can't wait for the tour to end. Ditch Key and McCullum and try and get some adults back in the room. But then this is the ECB we're talking about.

It's just an awful look. See also Kelly Osborne (or what's left of her).

I've fortunately managed to lose about six/seven kilos in the last five months mainly through intermittent fasting, reducing carbs and generally eating a bit less. Thankfully I didn't find it too hard but clearly I assume these people want results quicker and resort to the drugs instead?
