Matty Done definite MoM. Without his early goal line clearance they could've pinched one, parked the bus and it might have been a very different game. That added to his forward play and defensive work - clear MoM for me. [Post edited 25 Mar 2014 22:31]

TBH, for me - as soon as you see a Centre Half going out to block a cross your're in the sh1t.
You need your CH's in the centre heading the cross away. One last CH in the middle means your Full Back is somewhere they shouldn't be and the box is loaded more to the attacking team than the defending team.
It doesn't always work out, coz a load of the strikers in our league are sh1te, but it's always squeeky bum time! |

I'm certainly not questioning what you say D_Alien, but your daughters comment that "when you're that age, you not regarded as being attractive [she used a different word] unless you've been chatted up by the asian lads in rochdale"
The story I read online said some of these fellas in court are of a very wide age range and some of them 'of no fixed abode'!
Do normal Rochdale teenage lasses really give a sh1t if some old, Asian, homeless tramp thinks they're attractive or not.
I realise we're not talking about exactly the same people (in court and to whom your daughter was referring), but I'm not that far out of school (cr@p, just worked it out and I am (14 years))...have things really changed so much in 14 years!
Also as far as it being a cultural thing - google, or look on the BBC (there was an article on recently) 'Eve teasing'. Shocking practice which is rife in Pakistan still and may be exerting something of a cultural influence here. |

"From a JLAA pass"?? - didn't Bishop knock it down
"Ball's powerful effort"?? - powerful?
Do the people writing the reports watch the game at all? Or even the highlights published on the same page?

For a guy born in Crumpsall, and living in Middleton/Rochdale I would have thought the following options were available before setting up your own club:
Oldham AFC - 3.65 miles
Bury FC - 4.09 miles
Rochdale AFC - 5.23 miles
It's hard enough trying to get people who don't watch football every week to come along to a L1 or L2 game, but when 2,000 people realise what we knew all along. That the premiership is a piss take. Instead of putting their support into local clubs who desparately need it they set up another club.
