Lack of investment
at 17:59 28 Dec 2014

Was listening to idle gossip in the - yes i know - West stand and heard today about a new group the TPG [Tangerine Paramilitary Group] sounds like these guys mean business.

Not interested in joining them but wondered if this was just a rumour or if anyone knows anything about them?

This is not some type of joke I am seriously asking if this is a real group?

Too many of you are at each others throats and losing sight of the real issues - we are all Blackpool fans and want the best for the club.

This thread and others are quickly turning into he said she said handbags over the internet. Statements made by the club are factual events anything else can be interpreted whatever way according to what agenda you have.

For this reason and the sanity of most posters - thread over and no personal slants at posters on here - AVFTT.

to be honest I would rather have UKIP in power than the moderate nothing parties of Labour, tories and Lib Dems. They are too alike in their policies. We have been promised so much by these 3 parties and sold down the river way too often lets see someone else give it a go.

What happens to Prem Club players outside their 25 man squad?
at 12:51 21 Sep 2014

Players will come for the money [if they are desperate or haven't heard of unique business management style] or if they are truly desperate to show their wares off in the hope of getting a bigger signing elsewhere.

Either way loans unless they are seriously championship standard and with us for a whole season they are unlikely to do anything more than elastaplast a business model [?!] which has haemorrhaged assets and skilled players for the last 4 seasons.

it points to one truth - namely that Karl and the Oystons are no not interested in the club progressing and seem intent on stripping as many assets form BFC parent as possible.

Fans should be focusing on the Oyston perception that the land that the stadium stands on is more valuable than what is built on it or the business that currently uses it.

I would be interested to see what BST and BSA actually know about the Council's attitude to land usage in the area, given that there was a new housing development built on the council owned car park next to the stadium.....

everybody has their own opinion - to me Karl had every opportunity to back the manager in the transfer window but chose to wait till he had exhausted every opportunity and then the window had closed. Either way whoever he had in charge had no way of expanding the team with permanent additions asides from loans.

No positive or negative criticism would influence Karl and its amazing that people still actually believe otherwise.

For most apathy has now set in.

How many Blackpool Fans would be prepared to boycott
at 17:14 10 Sep 2014

the recent change in the articles of association [Blackpool FC] now mean that the Oystons can decide to sell to a 3rd party at a much lower percentage takeover than previously and all shareholders are obliged to release their shares at whatever the going rate is at time of sale.

Why do this unless you are planning an exit strategy or unless you are protecting from a fans buyout of shares via a trust or similar organisation? It could essentially mean that a sale from one company to another could mean that the O's would be in 100% control of BFC once again possibly not having to pay out any recompense for existing shareholders if the company goes bang.

Blaming the manager when the signings have been frees and loans - ridiculous Oyston!

But there will always be some excuse I am sure of it - at least until the parachutes stop.

I'm sure there will be some takers and I'm glad to see competition in a free market place. Maybe other businesses will sit up and take notice?

agreed. But it still seems - at least where I sit that people get disgruntled when I sing and shout. They just 'want to turn up and watch the football without the aggro' which annoys the hell outta me but you pay your way you take your choice I spose. Lets just hope that they have a club to watch and we haven't gone bang.

In the West most are not concerned beyond a match to watch and don't have the connection with the younger support. Whilst I don't like to make sweeping statements this appears to be the case where I am sat.

Took my little lad to his first home game and had a guy getting aggressive 'coz I wasn't watching the game' and I was explaining the rules and what was happening to my 7 year old [talking throughout apparently ] !

Truly amazing but it happened.

I thought that was fair to be honest to - 'clarify' to choose a users own word - that whatever he cares to believe there will be moderation [albeit a little as possible on my part] but moderators have opinions too but contrary to what he says I will not be pushing my opinion nor should I do!

Just to 'clarify' ......

"I'd just like to clarify that I am in no way interested in moderating opinions and all viewpoints are welcome. In fact I actively encourage it to stop the overall rhetoric being one track and bland.

What irritates me is personal and snipy abuse irrespective of who is doing it. "

Not interested in moderator opinions - im a mod - so hence my views don't count?! I have an opinion the same as anyone else genius!

Just don't think Karl is remotely interested in the Footballing side of the business. If he could run it down he would and use the land for either housing or as an entertainments venue as clearly there is more money to be made out of non-football related businesses.

Would not surprise me if that is in fact what he is doing!

Interesting comments from both sides. Moderating any website is not easy and I will along with the other mods get it wrong - no-one is perfect. Well maybe Karl is. ;-)

I have my own opinion on matters but will always try to be fair about the way the board is moderated.

Whatever agenda (if there indeed was one) of the old site, as a former mod I have to say I was unaware of any collective agenda. I can accept that certain posters may have pushed their opinions forward but as the mods were always in communication with the site owner via email for me at least it was never a unified old buddies agenda and the owner was always anonymous.

I was aware of who owned the site but never actually met him.
