I also think he won't be here much longer. Not only has he said that are much deep rooted problems than he thought but he also said it is very difficult to get players to come to BFC. I wonder if his 5 or 6 offers to players have already been turned down and it is clear that KO won't give him the type of funds to build a decent squad and especially after his appalling record this season and no wins in the last 17 games.
One of the supporters near me said he had turned up to an event for young players last night in a well lashed state (allegedly of course) |

Taking into account that BFC have paid many millions in corporation tax on profits over the last few years it does suggest that an alternative and forward thinking strategy could have invested much of that in a new training ground and a decent pitch rather than in the taxman or Quernmore Hall  |

Good and sensible o/ p.
As I posted on the other forum there is a certain irony to some fans. On the one hand we all condemn the Os for bullying into submission those fans who can't afford to defend themselves in court. On the other hand we have some fans who attempt to bully and abuse other fans who decide to go in the ground and support the team but still use the opportunity to chant against the Os.
For the avoidance of doubt, I, with my son, bought the 2 year deal, but not because we believed the Riga Revolution nonsense, We took the advantage of a cheap deal to give us another reason to make the 350 mile round trip for each home game to also see my 82 year old mum (who had progressive dementia) at least twice a month. We also saw it as an opportunity to spend a bit of dad and son time together. My mother started watching the Pool with her dad in 1947 and her last match was our promotion trip to Wembley (her very first away match) She is the reason we are Pool supporters, with my first game in 1964. I have been on plenty of demos against the Os over the years and supported the one on Saturday , before going in to support the team a few minutes before KO. My mum sadly passed away in October but one of the last things she said to me was ' those Oystons are bu*gers, but they should not drive you out of the club you love'. I may well not renew my ST in 14 months time. But if I don't renew it will not be because I have been bullied by others to do so. In the interim I will be going to home matches but not as many as when my mum was still with us. |

Our successful promotion sides had a core team built over 2 or 3 seasons, had a couple of quality players, had terrific team spirit that produced more than the sum of the parts and had managers who encouraged a passing game with a desire to attack with confidence and win.
For the last couple of seasons we have had waifs and strays who don't know each other and don't play as a team and managers who don't inspire. With the Oystons in charge we will not improve because all decent players and managers now know what they are like and they will avoid us at all costs |

I was on the Kop that day, at the age of 16, with my mates from school. Also withus were a a couple of my relations who were Sunderland fans. It was quite interesting as some parts of the north-east sections of my family supported Sunderland and some suppported Newcastle. We certainly celebrated the winning goal which followed a great pass out from defence (may have been from Paul Hart?) and my relations weren't too concerned as they were legless with the ale! |

I have mentioned a few times that KO will not be removed whilst OO owns the club. Only an offer to buy the club that the O's want to accept will remove him / them. When a single family owns nearly 80% of the club and there is little accountabililty through the club board then they have a strangledhold and KO has lttle effective challenge unfortunately.
It is also worth noting that the OSs have also got a stranglehold over the proeprty associated with BFC - stadium, hotels, traning ground which they will see as alternative income sources even if the football is no longer there. Another reason they will be reluctant to go.

He left after we were relegated from the top flight in 1971. He went to Blackburn where he played about a dozen games before transferring to Brighton, but he didn't play for them.
I believe he still sometimes appears for some of the special hospitality events at BR or at least he did until a couple of years ago.
I was present when he got his hat-trick at PNE to get us back up to the top flight in 1970. Fantastic evening! |

I would have to have to say Columbo, but there were so many since the 1960s all offering difrrent skills and in some cases humour- ( Sorry for any mis-spellings) McCloud, Cannon, McMillan and wife, the Snoop Sisters, Bannacech, Petrocelli, Kojak, Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett version), Marple, Morse, Lewis, Bergarac, Wycliffe, Starsky and Hutch, Poirot, Carter and Regan (the Sweeney), George Dixon (of Dock Green - he offered re-assurance rather than solving crimes), Jane Tennyson, Jessica Fletcher, Cagney and Lacey, Ironside to name but a few ! |

He is too close to the bank rolling unions. As demonstrated when he "forgot to mention" those difficult issues at the Labour conference which he thought they wouldn't want to hear. The reality is that Labour should be well ahead at this stage of the electoral cycle and would certainly have a decent lead if they had a more credible leader |
