Having read and really, really enjoyed the blog all season from a Middlesbrough perspective, I was going to say that it is cosmically inevitable that my mini-investment in QPR will come back to bite me as the 1 in 17 run inexplicably becomes 2 in 18 tomorrow. However, given the depth of pessimism, it is best to tell the truth - we are playing exceptionally well. I think the win at Bramall Lane was the best we’ve played in this division since the 3-0 win at Brighton under Karanka in December 2015. On the other hand the QPR players seem to be either feigning injury or feigning interest, led by a middle manager type put in a terrible position and making things worse. We will see what happens - though so long as Zack Steffen has the ball at his feet, there’s a chance of a quick route straight back to our goal |
