As an old (sceptical of the modern game) fart I really enjoyed reading that . We all have different views when watching the game but to read actual data , measured properly is the only way to get to the facts .
You would hope that the club have similar data to work with and use it .

I think its a bit patronising to suggest that 14-15k Rangers fans collectively 1/ "fawned" over Barton and 2/ Lost their self respect ? There is a thread suggesting the same so maybe its just the put down of the week ?
Could be they just wanted to put the last two years down to experience and get behind whoever was wearing a shirt and try and help get a win on the first day .
Whats the point of giving stick to someone you hope is going to help you win ? It doesnt make sense .
I think it shows, together with the Faurlin selection that Redknapp will just pick the team he thinks will win the game regardless of the past or the players ultimate intention to stay or not , relying on just the attitude and effort he has seen in training..

Its not Warnocks fault that every time he is interviewed about Leeds cup run or their takeover after 2 token questions he is asked about QPR .
He can be forgiven for reminding us that although the wheels may have been wobbling a bit when he was here they well and truly fell off after he left .
He is responsible for us watching the likes of Man Utd , Arsenal and having the Chelsea derby back at LR after taking over in a relegation scrap . |

Sorry I cant agree ,
Do we really want some kid from Reading throwing himself into tackles on Granero and Faurlin cos he thinks he should start at the weekend . Or a heavy pitch after loads of rain pulling on the hamstrings of Dyer . We have 2 fit out and out strikers why risk either of them when we have Hulse and Campbell .... If Hughes had man managed those two a bit better they may see this as a chance to show that they were worth a loan opportunity.
If they were all fit maybe give it a go but not worth the risk IMO |
