The board will keep Jenkins as so long as he remains, he will deflect the majority of the criticism for them and they may well calculate that is worth what they are paying him.
Levien and Kaplan have a reverse Midas touch with regard to the Swans and were it not for Jenkins would be attracting far more criticism than they currently are.
As much as I feel Jenkins should have gone years ago, I imagine his ego would prefer him to leave on a high. Unfortunately I fear there is more chance of him being at the helm of a resurgent Casey's Roofing. |

Correct. I buy tickets on a game by game basis as a JA member and due to being stupidly tall I opt to sit in the front row of the east stand. I was in line with the goal line nearest the away supporters and there were no supporters for fifteen seats either side of me.
Being an anti social sort this suits me down to the ground but I do wonder why I am hearing tales of people who tried for tickets in the East and ended up in the North after being told there was no availabillity. I did get some company when the chap who monitors the electronic advertising hoardings sat a few seats down with his lap top.
The steward still demanded to see my tickets every time I came back from the bar/gents despite me being 6"6 and the only one in the row but that's another tale. |
