That would depend on how we spend the money. We’d have to replace our two most effective players and bring in players who can share the goal burden. It’s not acceptable that Cullen is our second top scorer with 4, we should have a couple of players pushing for 10 by now. I think it’s quite possible with the amount of money we are likely to get though. We won’t be buying £15m players, but a few well scouted £5m players could make a big difference. Walta could be one of them, he has looked way out of his depth so far to me, but the club clearly rate him very highly. Is he going to open up defences and chip in with a decent goal return himself next season? I think we need to chance our arm with another year on loan for Yalcouye. He’s improved a lot, but he’s nowhere near PL level. I’d expect Brighton will either be looking to sell or loan again. If Galbraith is going to go, we need to get him into midfield now. I don’t think playoffs or relegation are going to happen. We need to get him into a position that maximises his value in the summer. |

I don’t go to Wales games regularly at all, but every time I have, I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere. Compare that to twenty years or so ago when you had to be half on your guard all the time. A lot of people there are very much just Wales fans and the vast majority of us that aren’t, from Swansea and Cardiff, realise that we’re there to support our country, not for club feuds. There is still the odd idiot but nothing like it used to be. So no, it’s not personal, but yes it does rankle when an internet fan tells match going fans how to behave at games. You must have the self awareness to see that. You seem to be under the impression we’re all wearing half and half scarves and doing the Ayatollah with them in the canton pubs. It just isn’t like that. |

You don’t know what South Wales derbies are like. You don’t know what Wales games are like. Both are very different to the last time you attended. Anyone who attends games is in a position to educate you. |

It’s not a Swans v Cardiff vibe. It’s about supporting your country. A lot of people there aren’t interested in club football |

This stung us under Williams and Sheehan (although we have more depth this season). Playing our best eleven and dominating for 60/70 minutes, then losing points when the subs come on. Matos uses the same pool of players but seems happier to rotate who starts and who comes on. Also not afraid to make big early changes when it’s not working, like Tuesday |

It’s not a traffic warden forum though is it? We come here to discuss the Swans. People disagree on players merits. Most of us can articulate why. A small minority need to resort to high volume, low content nonsense. I agree with you on one thing though, a player regularly getting picked by club and country probably doesn’t care what people on the internet think about him. |

Up until now I’ve seen him as an impact sub, better in broken play against tiring opponents. But I’m coming round to thinking he deserves to be starting. His decision making is much better than it was earlier in the season. He’s far less erratic without losing his intensity or the good kind of unpredictably that opens up gaps |

I don’t think he’s ready. You wouldn’t expect him to be match fit, but he was all over the shop positionally and seemed a bit tentative of the physical side of it. It’s easy to pass around our press if we have one player not in synch with his teammates. He’s clearly very highly rated and you can see he’s got quality. I think it’s going to take him a while to adjust. When he does, he may well be the player we’ve been missing for years. I just think we’re rushing him. In fairness to Matos, the triple change was perfect. Two midfielders pressing hard alongside Vipotnik and Widell and Cullen in reserve for when Franco ran himself into the ground. Had Yalcouye put that chance away early second half, I think we would have overwhelmed them. We were easily the better team when we imposed our game on them. |

I thought that took a turn for the better last night. It’s only 45 minutes, but I thought Key had a really good game. |

Ok just two points. My first paragraph isn’t even a matter of opinion, it’s fact. Those players largely weren’t/aren’t rated by a lot of fans but regularly get picked by football professionals. That’s self evidently correct You can disagree about managers taking a more holistic view of how the team functions with that particular player and they put a lot of focus on what the player does off the ball if you want, but you won’t be able to put up a credible argument for it. The other is the vast majority of us come on here to talk about the Swans, not attention seek. If I don’t think I’ve got anything to add to a thread, I don’t post. I would guess that applies to almost all of us |

Cullen is one of those players managers rate higher than fans. Fulton, Routledge and Naughton, even Ronald all the same. Fans look at the player, pretty much solely what he does on the ball, managers look how the team functions with that player in it. I think he may start to get squeezed out next season, purely because we’re investing more into the team and the standards are getting raised. Far better player than he gets credit for though. |

I get we rate Walta very highly and he’ll only get up to speed by playing games, but he shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting line up yet. I’m all for it last couple of games if we’ve got nothing to play for It just passed him by. He didn’t appear to know where he was supposed to be, shied away from tackles and both of those things hurt our pressing game |

Key was the biggest plus for me last night, he looked like his old self |

To be fair, having thought about it at lot of the walk ups are probably Swans fans who just go now and then. May as well pick this game over any other. Get an early goal and get on top of them and it will be bouncing all night. I can’t wait |
